    The only thing I really hope is the exception is the cure spell.
    Its vitally important to game play for the mage to balance which potency and mp cost is needed in regards to mp and enmity management.
    I would feel extremely restricted if you couldn't lightly top someone off, or you could only bomb people in the middle of a delicate fight with a 900 hp cure... That would be a nightmare haha.
    ok but what about nuking?
    shouldnt choosing which strength of nuke to cast for enmity and MP consumption reasons fit into that? or is it really so much so that Nukers dont and shouldnt effectively exist in the FF MMO franchise but in every other game?

    ya that why having fire1 2 3 4 was a main thing in FFXI but they had no limit on action o.o maybe convert back into a list and the action would be the macro of spell you want to use for now? or do something else to allow us to use more then just one T of nuke.

    To be fair, nukers haven't "effectively existed" in any FF game other than 13 so far. In any other game they have become inferior to melee DPS sooner or later.

    The only reason to use them would be if you don't mind being less effective. That doesn't work in MMO's.

    lol i have to dissagree, my casters rocked, i found no need for a cast of melee, i usually just needed a tank.
    also, say hypothetically your statement was scientific fact, does that make it a solid type of logic to use? impliment a nuker with less viability and effectiveness in battle? i personally do not think so.

    people are worried that healing will get even more dificult, but there is no worry from the community about having an effective nuker in your endgame fights, then why the hell have them in game then? its frustrating.

    i dont want Nuking to go the "solo puddings" way as it was in FFXI only with less visual appeal and less options for MP and casting timers.
    do you know how often i used tier 3 spells while playing FFXI? A LOT.

    Certainly have to disagree there. Just some quick examples: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and A2 you could use a Summoner with a Red Mage's Doublecast and wipe the floor with back to back summons. In FFT I think it was a Black Mage with mathematics could hit any enemy on the screen with their strongest magic spells costing 0MP. FFX Lulu was the only one to be able to effectively dish out damage to Flans and some other monster types that you'd run into frequently.

    Calculators could do CT5 Flare, but why would they when Holy was so much better than Flare? >_>
