What possible reason do you have to assume that visual effects aren't going to change along with potency?

All you say to justify your position is that "it's a system they're implementing"...uhh?

because in every other final fantasy the spell effect is determined by its tier plus there is no mention that the effect itself will scale upon potency.
thats what im basing it on.

In this Final Fantasy tiers are not used. That makes everything that happened in past Final Fantasies with tiers an invalid comparison. They don't work the same way.

There is no mention of effect scaling with potency because as of 1.20 that won't be the case. Cosmetic changes are scheduled from 1.21 afterwards. They did not specify what that means, so it can just as easily mean that effects will scale than anything else.

    You are jumping the gun.

your right, im not denying that.
my OP is my thoughts on the subject to the developers because they want feedback according to what theyve given us. this is my feedback on that subject just in case they arent planning on implimenting different effects to different potencies of actions.

i mean, it really doesnt bother you that you might have to use the same Axe effect from 1-50 with no change in the looks of it regardless of your strength?

i just wanted to voice myself as feedback.

Wrong. Final Fantasy II you bought Fire. Not Fire 2 or 3. You gained levels in it as you used it and the animations changed every 2 levels. The spell was still called Fire even at level 16.
