I dont know if they were going to add the Geomancer in 4.0. But after the Astrologian Quest I hope they want added him with 5.0.
But there are so many Bluemage References in the Game and they still havent added him i wouldnt wonder when they doesnt added the Job in the Game finally. But the probability is high that they maybe add both Jobs (Bluemage [DPS or Tank] and Geomancer [Healer]) in 5.0.

I'd personally like to see some kind of sword using true holy knight themed job added to the game at some point, that or PLD's lore retconned at some point.
At present PLD is not a PLD. They do nothing a holy knight should be doing, in fact their not even knights from a kingdom. BLU or RUN would fit PLD's current spot so much better. And PLD can be moved to Ishgard. Lore wise PLD "should" have a backstory tracing back to Amdapor, having fled north after the flood seeking higher grounds, later mixing in with the people that would become present day Ishgard. The lack of PLD's in the main story, so SE doesn't need to rewrite anything, could be covered by saying they are not taking part in the war since they feel hunting Voidsent to be their main goal. Basically cleaning up the mess left behind by the war of the magi. And ta-da! We now have a holy knight from a kingdom that upholds the light and slays demons all while staying inside FFXIV lore. /sigh pity it will never happen.

Hello my name is Tyrian Jabberwock and currently I'm in the process of creating a series of 4 New Classes falling in line with old overlooked classes as a gift to the FFXIV community and creators who saved me from potential artistic suicide with such an amazing game. The first I've been working on is the DPS, Blue Mage which I have a history of involving Ala Mhigo and took elements from many sources to create something unique. At my DeviantART account under TF-Lover you can see my design and the aforementioned history I've devised there.
However I've ran into a rather large snag in coming up with not OP or UP balanced skills that will make the class fun and exciting as well as original. If anyone has any experience with such things please contact me as soon as your able. I would love to get some experienced class developers and calculators to join me in my vendetta to give something back to the FFXIV community and world.

Berserk is already in the game. It is the warrior. They just change the name. It is basically a barbarian who use rage to fight. So I discard this one.
Puppet Master. It is confirmed the jobs will not have multiple roles, neither will have base classes that can vary on role(see Arcanist). So, a job will be tied to one role. I'll say DPS which uses Puppets as weapon, in a similar way than puppeteers in Naruto world.
Beast master. DPS with pets. But 80% pet oriented class, just the opposite to Summoner.
Blue Mage: Not impossible to implement, but rather complicated. Job are balanced in progress and Skills. Going through the map getting skills for monsters won't fit with the other jobs, due job having similar builds in skill concept. This will cause missing skills because didn't figth specific enemies and follow by party "kick if Blue mage don't have X skill" in party finder. Another way to learn enemy skills is by using Lance (like Kimahri in FFX) instead of being hit by an enemy. There is another possibility to learn enemy skills that can be completely new (not everything must be based on old FF). Also, I''l say Healer or DPS. Tanks in this game are Armored type tanks. A blue mage with fending gear will be weird as fuck.
Mystic Knigth as DPS or Tank. This one could work. Enchanting their sword for different effects (since elements in this game are not a thing, so spells like Blizzard Blade won't have sense) such incread damage, aggro, critical, apply debuff, or DoT.
I will add few more:
Magitek Knigth. Tank with Gunblade as weapon. The possibility of going to Garlean Empire in 5.0 are very high. So is a good chance to introduce this.
Dancer: DPS or Healer class. Melee in both cases. But his is hard to implement due to a healer SHOULD NOT STAY in melee range in most cases. Also, healer exclusive stat is piety. So, let's say they use TP for melee DPS exclusive damage and MP for Spells and Dances. An only TP healer won't work considering how TP works in this game.
Geomancer: With no entering on spoilers, Geomancer has been presented already on Stormblood (Astrologian Quest line). They look like Conjurers because job has been not implemented. But I think is maybe a hint for next job. A Healer that commands Wind Water and Earth, but in a different way than conjurers. They still can make them unique despite using the same elements.
Gunslinger: Dual pistol DPS. They need add one more range job. We only have Machinist and Bard for now. They will use dual short guns instead of one large like Machinist. The theme... I'm not sure. Maybe Garlean type too, or even Allagan. I don't know.

I'd love a magitek knight job as a new tank, preferably armed with a gun blade and a shield.
For a dps job, I just want something with hammers/maces. We definitely need a new blunt type damage dealer.
For a healer job, I kind of want to see something focused on its own mechanic, maybe with a focus on HoT type spells?

Cid Orlandu
Job: Sword Saint
Role: DPS
Final Fantasy's Jedi Knight
I would like to see it in this game using graceful fencing and dual wielding two elemental swords. Every attack weaves into the next attack, the two blades can be combined into one greatsword for burst damage. Mixing and matching different elements creates different outcomes. Animation wise is in between the speed of rogue and the weight of Dark Knight.
Second Choice would be Staff DPS or Tank
Sun Wukong Flavor with or without the monkey race.

If a job used a gunblade, I don't want them to play like RDM. I rather than shoot as they use melee skills.

I guess it depends where we go next expansion. I personally think that Dancer and Blue Mage could easily be from the same in game region (likely the mentioned but never seen Thavnair) and if we are gathering up allies against Garlemald it's no stretch of the mind we could end up there and learn these much sought after jobs.
Dancer could be a highly mobile healer that uses movement abilities to 'dance' in and out of range and avoid attacks. I think they could possibly have a nifty mechanic of using different auras 'dances' to provide different strengths of healing or buff effects while their attacks restore their mp. I think their main weapon would be paired fans which could end up making them a flashy looking class.
Blue Mage would be the last new dps we would get hopefully for a while. I would have suggested Blue for tank but honestly, no images of blue through the history of the franchise have looked like a tank. I know that in FFXI there were tank builds for Blue and I know Dark Knight was never previously a tank but at least in the case of DK they look like one. Blue could rather easily be a melee support class, using the abilities they've learned from monsters to put either debuffs on the boss or buffs on the party. How they learn these abilities is easy, it's done by fighting an 'epic' version of whatever monster on their class quests and the blue mage soul either absorbing the attack and awakening it for the blue mage or just 'remembering' during the course of the battle. They would primarily use tp and physical attacks, saving their mp to pull off flashy acts of blue magic.
However once we get to Garlemald I'd really like to see the Soldier and the Chemist.
Soldier could be magitek based tanks using gunblades and fast attacks that could work up to a strike that disables the opponent (i.e. buffs them versus their target). The more they attack, the more they stack their buff, the less damage they take. I confess I don't know much about tanking so I'd let those who are more familiar with the class to figure out how to make it distinct from the other tank classes in playstyle.
Chemist is an interesting concept, a healer that would attack by lobbing explosive potions and heal by lobbing healing potions, effectively tossing bombs to do their work. I'm not entirely certain what their primary weapon would be (some odd magitek device perhaps). They could either heal entirely off their TP and use their MP to restore it periodically or just restore TP through various cooldowns built into the class.
