Firstly....3k DPS doesn't require 'months of dedication'. It's borderline bad / unacceptable. You have not given anything specific for us to go on. How do you expect help? You want us to piece together a broken record while blindfolded?

So you are saying 3K dps is bad... interesting and how will most players know this w/out using a parser? I can practice on a dummy all day long and check out multiple rotation guides..ect yet there is no way to know what my dps is w/out some sort of parser.

How does this help me during all phases in a raid? How does this help me get better while practicing my opener over and over again? How does this help me in all content?

I mean....I am on console and I used that to practice. I am a 90th percentile PLD/DRKand have cleared all of Omega Savage so I'd say it does its job.

Interesting that you would pull me up for using the same numbers as the OP. Maybe ask him how he knows the DPS he is pulling?

I was only pointing out that you said 3K damage is bad. How would we know this unless running content with a parser. I bet most 1st world groups use a parser. They need some way to gauge the fights so they can improve individually and as a group... Numbers don't lie and having the ability to see your numbers and watch the numbers get better as you practice is not only a confidence boost but will greatly increase your chances of completing the raid (gotta love those dps checks).

It was answered - you go to SSS dummy, check how many seconds or % left when you killed it or met a 3 minute mark, than use http://ffxiv.2digitalgames.de to get your number.

It doesn't. It also doesn't make coffee for you and doesn't wake you up in the morning. But what it does is that it gives you a number based on your SSS attempt result.

And since numbers were given without a reference to any specific fight, it is assumed, that they talk about striking dummy situation.

I've been struggling to do more for over a week with any of my 2 caster lvl70 dps classes. Meanwhile my tanks do nearly 3k fairly easily. But I'm not inclined to give more information with a response that rude.
