Usually, but they made a special case with Omega due to how many people transferred. They didn't want to make Omega congested (because it'd rip apart the new player bonus on the server), so they sealed off transfers instead.

With the bonus now gone, people are dropping like flies. Not that I am complaining; I actually had a choice of two different houses to purchase yesterday.

I think it's a bit silly how it all worked. Loads of people flocked to the server for their free 1mill and game time (and transfered a character so they could actually take the gil). Grabbed all the houses, didn't bother decorating them or anything, and now a bunch of them are trying to flip them before they go back to their previous server.

Hopefully now it is no longer a special status server or anything, all the usual rules will apply and transfers will be opened up both ways.

Oh, didn't realise they'd done that. I'm over on Louisoix and it thankfully is still considered a "New world". So I can still get all my bonuses (I'll probably work on that alt in a bit). But yeah, it's interesting to see they did that, they might end up making it congested too.

I'm more or less waiting for the server to open up as well so I can transfer to Omega. Might be wishful thinking that I hope it opens up before Shirogane is available, since I'd like a plot there myself.
