About the EU campaign for maid outfit and fat chocobo

Is there a viable way for people outside Germany to get the codes, without resorting to the insane eBay prices or non-existent German friends?

Funny thing is, even as someone living in a big city in Germany I couldn't get the codes yet, since I didn't find any seller for the special bottles yet. It's kinda like this whole magazine-thing with a few more people getting the codes, but as I said before, depending on where you live you have to depend on other people getting you the codes - and tbh I never really like to do that.

I really don't understand why SE seems to think campaigns like that are a good idea. Just make an Amazon-campaign, where anyone could easily get the codes. But campaigns where you have to bei lucky tot live around the right sellers? That just sucks.

In Scandianvia we dont even have Amazon, meaning we'd have to import from UK/DE. A solution that worked last time was a promo at Gamestop. I honestly dont get why it's taking so damn long.

If there is legal stuff that makes it not happen, just add it to the mog station, how hard can it be???

Indeed, they already said that some of the items are comming to Mog Station, so why not just release them there and make some profit? In the Netherlands we do have a Amazon, but its mostly books. I had to order from the French Amazon last time and worst was I almost did not get my codes.

Easy way to keep the customers happy and make money, release the items in the Mog Station, SE.

My guess? A set amount of time needs to pass before the items stop being 'exclusive' and can be thrown up onto the Mog Station. Maybe that is one of the legal complications involved? Pure speculation on my part, though.

Still, I don't see a reason why we can't get an indication as to when they'll be going up on the Mog Station. It is abhorrent that the majority of players with a European account are simply expected to just sit and wait with no clear guidance.

This could have been solved, by SE giving us a ETA on when the items will be released on the Mog Station. If someone from SE came here and said: " Because of legal issues, we can not sell the items on the Mog Station untill X or Y amount of months passed after the last event. The items should be released in month X or Y." This alone would inform the players, so we know that the items are comming and why they havent been added to the Mog Station.

The whole lets stay silent is not working and only makes us think that SE does not care about Europe. Its silly just like how people need to beg on the forum for NPC only items (hairstyle, emotes, glamour) to be released for the players.

It may have worked in the XI days but it isnt mid 2000 anymore SE.

Even if there's a holdback (which they should never have negotiated in the first place if it meant arbitrarily alienating a portion of their users for no reason), there are plenty of viable promotions they could hold which are comparable but more controllable. For example, a giveaway with S-E Online Store orders. I understand things can fall through but when last year's campaign was such a disaster in Europe, it's ridiculous that they would repeat the same mistakes again this time around. They would never treat the NA region this way.

Seems to me that because last year's was so shoddy, that they gave up on EU this year. Sure, Germany got something... but that's it. And even that one is bad as those cans aren't even available in the entire country. And yeah, they would never treat the NA region this way, I totally agree.

And yet the Chinese (?) cash shop had the old butler promo items (and a chocobo outfit on top of that) quite fast while we are still waiting for that one. I would find it strange that the exclusivity deal (if one exist) stops at such markets.

Is that so? Well, that does make things more dubious. =/

Still, it'd be great to get an official statement on the matter to clear such things up.
