Ran Zurvan HM early this morning. Was on a tank, the other tank popped their tank stance and pulled. Okay, cool. I don't mind OTing. We transition to the bottom floor of the arena and 2 seconds later the boss is on the DPS and cleaves the whole party, killing 4 people. Other tank is now in their DPS stance and it is very clear they have no intentions of tanking anymore. Even had the nerve to say, "You should really have picked up the boss faster so less DPS died." before leaving the duty.

Do you ever feel bad for feeding cards to a single DPS? I got Dusk or Stone Vigil, the first HW dungeon. The DPS were a RDM and DRG. Didn't have to look at there gear to see the RDM was better equipped. Had way more HP. And being a RDM his damage was better, so I kept giving them Balance and Spears. But the DRG wasn't bad, they were using AoEs and proper rotations. And looking at their gear, it was level appropriate. But again, the RDMs numbers were bigger and this is an RPG. I just felt a little bad is all.

I do have another story, this time in Bardam's. I had a NIN and MCH. Again, I love NINs and give them all the cards by default. And this NIN was fantastic. No problems what so ever. I wasn't only giving him all the cards, they were getting my common. But then they hit my pet peeve. That hallway before the boss, they "helped" the tank pull. The turtle, butterflies, the whole mess of things. That's the usual pull, but this tank didn't want to do it. But that wasn't setting well with the NIN or something. Anyway, for that pull and the next and the boss, I stopped giving them cards.

O1N me on warrior as maintank. Boss starts casting his twinbolt mechanic. But the person i got tethered with wasnt the offtank. It was a Rdm @_@ Because the offtank (Pld) was way behind the boss. So of course the Rdm gets hit and dies. I even tried to get close to the offtank but it was too late.

Offtank: "you need to stack with the person you're tethered with"
Me: "that should be you :P"
Offtank: "but i wasnt tethered with you"
Healer: "its based on distance"
Healer: "thats why both tanks needs to stack"
Healer: "its also a tankbuster"

So yeah even after explaining this the offtank would still stay behind the boss most of the time and only move close to me for twinbolt. After that he would again move behind the boss. Maybe he was afraid of cleaves? Or doing positionals as a pld? I dont know. It was just weird. I just felt sorry for the poor Rdm.
And before anyone asks: no. the offtank wasnt new.

So I have two stances on this. The offtank was wrong. The fact that Omega has been up for this long and the offtank still doesn't go straight to the MT for Twin Bolt is bad. The MT should not have to move himself closer to the OT..and the fact that he thinks that stacking with a DPS is a good idea is just terrible. That being said, since it's O1N...or really, just O1 in general, there's no reason for the OT to stick with the MT for the majority of the fight. He just needs to be in position for Twin Bolt, then go back to doing his DPS.

As offtank you just stay on the left or right side of the boss so when twinbolt starts you just have to move a tiny bit. But this tank kept standing at the bosses butt. Like i said it was just weird.

Not exactly duty finder, but last week I encountered someone I can't figure out. When I first saw him, he was in Azim Steppe, shouting for someone to come help him with his hunt mark. By which he meant, not an elite mark, but a level 65 daily mark. When he was level 70. With his chocobo. Later, He was calling for help with a B rank in Yanxia. Which of course he should also be able to solo, but then again if regular mobs are too much... But that's not the weird part. The weird part is, that apparently that b rank wasn't his weekly mark, because over the next few hours I saw him listed in PF trying to form groups to kill several other b's. Which raises the question, did he not even notice he wasn't getting anything for them?

DRG is red, obvs

Basically, DRG was hit by a tank buster and then refused to do anything after that. Ran to where D usually is and then threw a hissy fit (exaggerating. They just said reset and did nothing). After they were killed by Stone Curse, they refused to accept any Raise thrown their way. They're now blacklisted.

I also caused a wipe, but let's not focus on that.

I just don't understand the thought process of people wasting their own time like this. You don't like how things are going? Quit and move on but don't sit there in the hopes that your outrage will justify a free carry. (All of this not aimed at you Nestama, I mean the people like the DRG).

Not quite a tale in the same vein as most here, but still somewhat relevant.

I've been trying to get the Woad Skyhunter's Armlets from Sohm Al for weeks. Running the dungeon solo as SAM and clearing it easily. Running it with a PF group when I see one.

They haven't dropped once. Not a single time. We're talking over thirty damn runs now. I have three full sets of the warrior gear, two full sets of the caster gear, and three of the same damn MRD weapon.

It's getting to the point where I think they might have been accidentally edited out of the game
