It brings old content into relevance, gives players a goal, gives 'easy content' players access to a raid tier weapon, gives us all cool designs, one stage normally stimulates the economy....Hey, Pence, now you're being the drama queen. Please tell me that you "approve" of this great and awesome relic weapon to be endlessly strung along a series of pathetic, demeaning, and expensive tasks (rich players, go figure), to keep catching it up to the latest item level for the latest expansion.
Are you really implying there that it couldn't be done smarter than this?
That's all it is. Stop trying to RP the forums about a grind quest.

Screw this jumbled up, confusing mess... They could have at least organized the errand locations properly. The main thing is that there is no "Saga" here. it's nothing but a mindless easter egg hunt for glow effects - That you pay a ton of money and reward currency for.
The entire charade has amounted to nothing more than digitally interactive cancer.
"digital interactive cancer"
Holy kupo, calm yourself. It's just a game. You're getting so worked up over a thing that is optional and really doesn't matter.

Wait until you find out that Ultimate is harder than the hardest content but doesn't give a higher ilvl reward...Screw this jumbled up, confusing mess... How is it that your join date on these fourms is 2013 and you're doing relic now? If you would have done it when it was relevant you wouldn't be so pissy, because you would have had the best wpn in the game

I pretty sure he's just salty that even after two expansions he can't just bust out a quick weeks grind and drop a minimal amount of Gil to get what he wants. These weapons carry a certain amount of prestige for needing dedication to obtain. It's not even that hard to get, just time and Gil. If the OP can't spare either of those or doesn't want to work towards it then he clearly doesn't want it bad enough. I had to farm millions of Gil by cooking for the market in order to finally (FINALLY) obtain my Last Resort which I finally got around to like a month ago. I started it back when it was new. It took me years to get it and it obviously sucks in battle but I'm proud I have it now. Now I just gotta work on finishing my Summoner's Anima light farm ;-; which I probably won't get to until I can solo HW dungeons lol.

Oh boy, if they hated the Zodiac quest that badly, they should probably steer clear of the Anima one or the SB ones coming sometime soon..

Well, the good news is they are changing up the relic quests. We are getting something called Eureka which is how we will obtain our relics from now on,..but there is almost no info on it eitherI agree with OP, the relic quest was never really that great..it feels like it was created to carry people through old content. I have no problem helping people but for a RELIC weapon in an FF series, it should be a pretty solid quest with boss fights, etc.

I am a bit disappointed that they didn't add more boss fights like the chimera and hydra bosses you get to fight towards the beginning of the quest line, and didn't do anything of the sort for Anima. Imagine if they put in some epic nostalgic bosses, like the Four Fiends? I'm looking forward to what Eureka entails.
iLv 90+ that's exactly what it is and it works.
you might not but most people do.
there's only room in the dev schedule for one "boss" weapon and that's the raid weapon. the rest is just semantics, call it something else if it bothers you.
