It's a sub-standard quality item! Why isn't the f'ing BEST??? Why deliberately waste people's time (a LOT of time btw) for rubbish!?
They didn't start the game at Stormblood, you know. Back in the day, these were the best items you could get after you built them up, and you didn't have to raid at all to get them.

Why do you not see the flaw here? Then Square-Enix should have eliminated this entire relic charade months ago. Instead, it's still stringing unsuspecting players along. This started at level 50 and they continued to add more and more garbage to it. Even in a magical fantasy world, you could never accept the kind "reasoning" this so-called aethereal genius weapon researcher gives you along this broken road journey.
When you put all of these tasks together and read them together (ff14 wikipedia), it becomes painfully clear that it would have been much better without any story attached to it all! Instead, it's pathetic and desperate.

Right, I'm gonna go ahead and hit the button and start the PSA.

I picked up a level 1 quest at a 70 once, I agree. SE should remove all quests below my level, how dare they string me along demanding I kill that innocent L1 mob.

Okay, I'm convinced now. You gullible players will accept anything as long is it wastes your actual life time. And you'll give all of your money to them while you're at it. Hell, I could have made a better Final Fantasy "Zodiac Weapon Saga".
Not sure what they were thinking here. Probably just greedy for money.

Please, go ahead. Tell us what you would do. Keep in mind: It needs to be easy enough that your super casual XIV player that can't complete an extreme can finish, but it can't be something a hardcore player can complete in 5 minutes. It must also reward the best, or second to best weapon for the tier without invalidating the work raiders do. Also, due to it's lengthy nature it must not be super story driven which requires tons of work for the Devs as it's just casual side-content.Okay, I'm convinced now. Go on. We'll wait.
Edit: Almost forgot, it must also help bring 'dead' content back into some state of relevance. Dungeons, FATEs, GC seals etc etc
If I may add an addendum, it must also not remove older content items, as many players may prefer the look of those items over anything they receive now. Please, go ahead. Tell us what you would do. Hey, Pence, now you're being the drama queen. Please tell me that you "approve" of this great and awesome relic weapon to be endlessly strung along a series of pathetic, demeaning, and expensive tasks (rich players, go figure), to keep catching it up to the latest item level for the latest expansion.
Are you really implying there that it couldn't be done smarter than this?
