I am normally for a lot of ideas that are good for the players but I also believe that would be asking a bit too much. Like Keridwyn wrote, who will decide who gets some sub back (and how much) and how will they even know who deserves it?

They also did not do something like that when the disaster struck part of Japan some time ago so if they dont do that in their homeland I cant see them doing that for other countries and I feel that its just too much to ask. I mean such a disaster is quite horrible for the people and I am happy that they at least stopped the housing demolisher for a bit but there are probably lots of people playing this game that are having personal disasters too like being suddenly very sick or losing stuff in a fire and more. Do people only then deserve it if they are in a national disaster? Who decide who gets it and who not.

Its not a bad idea but I dont think that its quite possible.

Like identifying who was or not affected would be an easy task let alone the people needed to handle this personally and verify it's accurate on SE's part.

I totally think that the 45 day timer relative to entering the house will be going away at some point because we are going to see threads now that demand the timer be halted for a slew of natural disasters and the issue of having to personally react to them will be more trouble than it's worth for SE.

I've always felt a paying subscription should be more than enough to keep a house to begin with.

the hurricane wasnt even devastating, sure st.louis, cuba, puerto rico got screw hard but america didn't even got the hard end of it. only a couple of strong winds and power outage. no need to aad no free time because your lights went out. now you are just pushing it.

edit: I'm talking about florida and irma in specific since that's were OP is from, not houston.

Are on about the one that hit Japan? If so then yes they did reimburse people I was playing FFXI at the time and was given a free month. As for 14 I think it was still free at the time of the disaster so there was no need to reimburse.

Although I am posting this I still don't agree that they need to give any free time. Japan were experiencing total blackout and rolling blackout in the country due to the tsunami hitting one of the main power plants. The power plant was also at risk of explosion.

While I agree it is asking for too much I think, if you have the time, you should look up "houston before after hurricane" in a search engine and look at some pictures. I personally know people who had to wade through chest high water to escape the sudden flooding and people who had to be rescued from the roof of their house. 'A couple of strong winds and power outage' does not even begin to describe it.

I agree that adding sub time would be unworkable. I'm just thankful that they are putting off house demolition for the sake of those affected, that already seems pretty generous.

With that said, though... are you actually serious? "Only a couple of strong winds and power outtage"? Are you seriously that disconnected from the real world that you are calling two massive hurricanes and a major 8.1 earthquake "a couple of strong winds and power outtage"? I'm actually speechless at your lack of any sort of empathy. Many islands in the Caribbean have been practically wiped off the map by Irma, with the added danger of Maria coming to threaten them again. Southeast Texas experienced catastrophic flooding, with many people affected losing everything they own. Mexico had a massive earthquake that caused extensive damage. I'm...honestly at a loss of words for you if you're that callous.

SE cannot control the weather, housing demolish suspension was the default good intention move.

They don't have to help anymore and would still be the good guy.

That said, if they did, it would be a heroic gesture, one most like the Warrior Of Light.

Would you donate money or keep subbing if the shoe was on the other foot and SE servers were decimated for a month or two, where you couldn't play?

I was talking about Irma and florida since that's where OP is from and he's asking free time because his light went off which "which is florida strong winds and power outage" is exactly what happened. I did forgot houston is still recovering from the damage.

oh please get overyourself, Like I said I did not took into account Houston, OP is from florida not houston. That being said, I live 30 min away where irma passed if anything we got the worst part it could be in florida, so get off my back with empathy jimmy I was there so I was talking about from what happened here, which a lot of people like to overdramatize it was strong wind and power outage nothing compare to what houston got fortunately for us unfortunately for them we didn't even got heavy rain so nothing got severaly flooded like it did on houston. I did mention thet the caribean Island got screwed badly, I have family in there and I know full well how bad they are so quit assuming, no island got "wiped" out of the map, barbuda is just uninhabited because it was a very small island with a population of 400 which unfortunately they were not prepared but in a couple of month things will get back to normal around there hopefully. also the one that was coming was "JOSE" which diverted already into the ocean, "Maria" is a tropical storm, which is something around a category 2 or 1 which is just a couple of strong winds nothing harmful that cannot be avoided by staying at home. So if you loss your words go find them I don't need someone who doesn't know what it's talking about schooling me about empahy.
