Fantasia (and Why I'm Hesitant)

So lately I've been mulling over using a fantasia that's been sitting in my inventory since HW launch.

My character looks a lot like I do irl, and I did that on purpose right before 2.5, changing from a pink-haired miqo'te to a hyur.

But now I'm wanting to change again, but I'm kind of hesitant because I feel like this version of my character has been through a lot. And it feels like I'm killing him in a way? What adds to it is that I'm kind of close to the end if the SB msq and It'd be weird in my mind to suddenly have my current form..change and Lyse and the others not question it, you know? >__>;;

I considered also doing a name change alongside the fantasia to kind of...offset that weird feeling I'm having, but I'm still unsure.

I know this is super silly. Trust me. But have any of y'all ever felt this?

In my experience, if you're uncomfortable with your choice, when you end up going through with it, you end up regretting it and realizing you wasted your money. You may even end up spending more money just to undo your changes.

So unless you're really unhappy with your character, best to just keep him as he is.

I feel this way, since 2.0 only fantasia'd once and that was just to have normal eye color. I played FFXI where once you've played one character for so long you get attached

I used one Fantasia to go from Elezen to Au Ra, and no regrets there. I did try another to change my Au Ra...and I didn't like the results, so ended up using another to get back to the original one. Currently have some because the sale that is going one, and not sure if I ever will use them...mostly because I like how my Au Ra has turned out, and because I've gotten pretty attached to her. I do change the hair from time to time, but that is way easier(and free essentially) to change back.

I personally would never fantasia because in a way u are essentially killin ur character

you do realize you can save your current appearance right? I've done this and experimented with different looks only to come back to my old self. Its perfectly safe. It may be a few bucks but hey what new adventure doesn't cost something?

When I Fantasia, I try to keep it as close as possible to my original character's appearance just so it doesn't feel too weird looking at a different character. But so far I've only liked changing him to a male au ra. I also change hairstyles sometimes just to see if any others look good on him.

If in doubt, do nowt My first main character was a lala for a long time, I do regret changing her to highlander, then Au Ra.
