    Increase amount of items we can sell in the market/AH

    When the AH system comes online in the future, I hope that SE will consider allowing either a higher cap of items to be placed on the market or to just let players put as many items as they want up for sale.

    XI's system of only allowing 7 items to be placed on the AH is far too restricting and with the current market wards/retainer system of being able to have two retainers selling 10 items a piece for a max of 20 still feels too low. Can you guys think of any cons to increasing the amount of items we can sell? The way I see it, I feel that it can only enrich the market place by giving consumers more items to buy and giving shops more opportunities to sell.

    Also, if you're tired of seeing items being sold on the market for 999,999,999 gil they need to implement a timed duration for how long the item stays for sale as well as implementing a tax that is charged the moment you put it up. This way, items will be priced competitively and not just put on the market as a way to get +1 inventory for your retainer.

    I agree; I thought the point of renting out a stall was to increase the amount of items you can sell since you gain 3 counters and wall of drawers. might be a good idea to pass along to the devs.

    This is an obvious needed improvement...which is why SE will jack it up and reduce the amount we can sell.

    This is an excellent idea barring of course the technical issue that the volume will grow quite a bit. In this current system lets say you have 500 people with retainers up each selling 7 items. For now that's 3,500 items up and waiting to sell.

    If they expand it it grows very quickly. Under the proposed 40 AH/MW slot system those same 500 people are now attempting to clear 20,000 items. That's quite a leap over and above the 3,500 currently allowed and they can barely make ends meet on that tiny amount of goods. Hopefully the 2.0 architecture will be robust enough to allow for this much of an increase because it is only to the benefit of the player base that they get access to such an increase in goods to buy.

    To use a bad example it's like the difference between a corner store and a mega walmart. (yes I realise the mega walmart drove that corner store out of business but thankfully this isn't RL)
