I'm in a similar situation. I think it's utterly ridiculous that people can rush to a high rank early on and then sit on it for most of the season without having to do much at all to maintain it. I'm in silver myself - slowly working my way up to gold. It's not even a case of the healers in my team being bad but rather a case of them being pitted against players they shouldn't be fighting at the level of progression they're at. The difference between a silver and platinum healer is typically immense so there's an unfair advantage to whichever team has the latter.
