Eh, that's the risk rewards that is meant to get tougher as you progress higher. Lower levels gives you time to gather loot while the higher levels have a bigger risk of traps. It's up to you to maximize your raise pots and other utilities to counter mimic traps. AKA witching potion is a good one if you don't have to use it to counter a mob spawn trap. But it's pretty much the trial and error of a "Mystery Dungeon" like game.
