Ichiban honestly gives EXCEPTIONAL deals on their NM equipment to strangers who don't do NMs considering how worthless gil is and how much effort it takes to do NMs. He's got you by the balls if you don't do NMs, and could pretty much charge you whatever he wants if he waits long enough for a rich crafter to come into level. We sure aren't going to sell them. We'll give one to every dedicated member and then stop camping it before we start selling them.

I creep up to 15 million gil on accident and I avoid gil like the plague due to how insolvent an asset it is. Rapture is doing the server a big favor by selling all these things. I don't even see a reason to exchange a dodore doublet for any amount of gil except to play the futures market in hopes that they nerf gil aquisition hard or develop gil-eating content that people pay out the nose for.

Goes without saying that they could earn way more than 15 million gil as a team in the time it takes to get a wing, so really they're doing you a favor and maybe advertising for the shell a bit.

My only point on this is that you shouldn't charge more just because you can. For example, I couldn't afford to get my wisdom teeth pulled by this one dentist. He wanted to knock me out and surgically remove them, that would have cost 3000 dollars.. I got a second opinion, that dentist said he would just give me local anesthetic and pull them out without surgery, total was 500 dollars. Just because you can charge more, doesn't mean you should. Some really nice people who are not privilaged enough to have enough money for these things (casual players) are getting shafted out of things that assholes with lots of money get no problem(not implying people who buy dodores are assholes here). In an economy where you can buy millions of gil for less than what it would cost to buy a package of toilet paper irl.. it just seems kind of silly to hoard money. But that's just my opinion. If I had the means to do so, I would undercut in a heartbeat. I do all the time whenever I can. Just like that douche who is manipulating the steel market, he was selling the highest BOT secondary for 400k, i had three made and sold the other two for 300k.

But I'm just a silly idealist.

I never really thought about it like that.

Your downtrodden man argument is getting stretched well beyond its capability to defend your position. You say it's silly to horde money. In your head you seem to think that because people shouldn't horde gil that you should therefore get sold items for less gil. That is a leap of extraordinary spin. In reality IF people agree with you that it's silly to horde gil...you don't get sold a Dodore doublet PERIOD.

Rather, if you think that hording gil is silly, then pay the piper with it.

I paid 6 million gil for a harley hat. I will pay 6 million gil for a jade crook +3 if they get that low. If not I'll probably buy it for 10 because again. My gil creeps up on me insidiously and it is a BAD asset.

If Rapture wants the gil, push the hot potato on to them. They're Rubles, man. 250k in a leve reset just by doing something you'd already do anyway.

Either way the economy is broken and SE needs to remedy this quickly.

Who's trolling? Ohhh you're that person that started mouthing off at me because I saw you crafting in high rank gear as a low rank carpenter and commented on it. Not only did you belittle me but you made the mistake of doing it in public, so I reported you to a GM, and you were "dealt with" haha. Good job!

EDIT: If memory serves me correctly, you are Admiral Zander?

For the record, I just want to get this straight because some people who play online games seem to get really... perterbed when I don't play or act the way "i should be". I'm not going to be formal or polite, and i'm not going to not do something just because someone else doesn't want me to.

The polite way for you Zander to have dealt with that situation would have been to take my unsolicited advice and either ignore it, or reply with a simple "oh i know, i'm only doing a few crafts as carpenter and didn't bother to change". But instead you started attacking me, I believe you were going on for ten minutes in /say calling me a noob and whatever else including derogatory remarks about my sexual orientation. Then you went out of your way to come into the other room and emote all over me in your dodore doublet after I had blacklisted you.

So not only am I hesitant now to talk to strangers (people like you are destroying the social aspect between strangers in mmorpgs), but I have a severe disdain for elitists such as yourself. You sir leave a very bad taste in my mouth, and I'm not the only one who's blacklisted you.
