Yeah, I didn't finish that thought. I think the reason why they're not making it dyable is because it's supposed to be <insert name here>'s gear, and that means you can both make the argument that doing so would make the gear less recognizable which is their perceived reason for putting it up as well as their ability to rescind that argument at a later date and make it dyable in order to get a secondary boost in sales.

I dislike this attitude from SE, personally. Lots of folk don't buy these outfits (or any outfit) in order to dress up as the NPC. They get them to mix and match and make their own outfits. Not being able to dye them makes them significantly less appealing. That and their rather high price point (especially for single-character costumes) are what keep me from buying anything at all.

Yeah...I would have liked to be able to dye it as well. The big thing that's keeping me from buying it though is no glamor catalogue/wardrobe to store/upload it to. I don't want another four piece set clogging my already clogged inventory.

The first version of FF13 clothes were not dyeable, same for the starlight set (x-mas) and they made it dyeable in a patch. I see no excuse for non-dyeable outfits.

I think this one might lose it's texturing if it was dyed. I haven't looked at it too closely(since still trying to figure out what to glam it with...) but that could be a reason behind it(as half-assed as that reason would be).

Almost every item, especially leathers and metals lose theeir original textures when dyed. Starlight and Chinese outfits for example lose their shiny texture when dyed. They need to be dyed one of the metallic dyes to keep the shine.

So that's really not an excuse...
