Unfortunately win trading has been a major plague in this game for quite some time. Not only in PvP, either, but in the Triple Triad and Lord of Verminion tournaments. More should definitely be done about it.

You've just stated the entire reason I've stopped trying to play Triple Triad or even consider Lord of Verminion. It's the same 3 people in the top 3 of every tourney. Not worth trying to even compete.
But, according to their data no one is cheating! Lol. Probably the funniest quote of 2017 so far.
That's actually why I never bothered playing Triple Triad or collecting the cards despite loving TCG and CCG's and playing many of them in real life. There's really no point if people are just gonna trade wins.
But Triple Triad was never advertised as "possible e-sport", so I would expect a bit better of them for Feast, I expected wrong, and honestly once this season is up, unless they plan to pay me handsomely I'm not participating again. Despite being able to keep my rank up there's really no sportsmanship or feeling of true "competitive" style with Feast.
It'd be like if I went to a boxing match and three dudes were undefeated because they did only below the belt hits and no one cared enough to call them on it.
What's the point in fighting fair if people can cheat with no repercussions?
The same reasons why melee needed nerfs, ranged got buffs, and healers now 100% make or break a match? At this point I'm pretty sure they throw a dart at a map with "possible ways to balance" and the first 3 darts to land are what we get.
One of the reasons why I'm not participating this season myself. The whole Top 100 thing is just.. so bad. With people never getting punished it's almost like "Why am I even playing fair? I could just cheat and win right now". It feels like the key to winning is to play dirty or to abuse an exploit in the system or take the easy way of winning(Play healer = Top 5). Nothing felt worse than knowing you're working really hard to climb the ranks and then there's this person who gets to just cheat all day, either during the whole season or black week, and be higher than you. Or knowing that you won't be able to win because healers or tanks can decide to not queue meaning you can't win, meaning you can't go up in ranks.
All the things that are frustrating with tournament-type activities in FFXIV it kinda just shows me that SE isn't ready to have the game modes because they don't put care into them. And people will cheat when you allow them too. That's why I'd be happy if rewards were just gone if SE can't give them only to people who deserve them.
Now tanks/healers not queuing doesn't go into the cheating category. Thats just taking advantage of the ranking system etc. All the issues could easily be solved if ranking was decided through public Feast events. Fixed timing. Monitoring.

But that takes time...and effort. Thought. Not just blindly quoting data. "Oh look, healers are dictating 90% of the outcome of a match! Melee DPS are kinda useless, and Ranged DPS needed a buff! But our data says no one is cheating!"
Like...I can't take anything they say seriously anymore. I just can't. We're playing a ranked mode with a 3 second server tick, that is 100% a gamble if you get teammates that know what's going on or not. No punishment for cheating, and no ranked team queues, a restricted chat function because people get upset if someone is mean to them. Not to mention the 30 minute or longer queue times. Can PvP become more of a joke than it is now? Let us not forget that the team that is winning in the Feast is actually making it easier for them to lose because of the way the medal system works.
I hate the medal system. All it does is encourage turtle play, which is fun for no one. From a spectator point of view watching a team turtle for 2-3 minutes is so absurdly boring. All I'm doing is praying the Culling is soon and that the healer can't keep up.
Yoshi says he's played other MMOs and is aware of how they work, but does nothing to make our PvP environment even remotely "competitive". Period.

Beating up other team whole match -> Last 10sec of duty. -> Melee LB -> Lose -> Fun!
<sarcasm>
Also... people aren't cheating! It's just that they get so caught up in wanting to win that their reports are grossly exaggerated!
</sarcasm>
I'm really starting to feel like it doesn't even matter anymore. I play feast for fun and I like the competition. But to turn a blind eye to cheating is just a slap in the face to everyone who loves this game, loves PVP and wants to play by the rules.
This is got to stop! Just been hit again with the so called duel healer que
Dear SE,
I'm sure you've heard plenty about this, but please find a way to moderate Leavers and Throwers in game. More than just their out going damage and healing.
In a recent match I had my Tank just flat out -give up- after our BLM died. He stood behind a tree and did nothing. We could have made a comeback as their melee had 3 stacks, but he just stood there. After the match, in a PVP LS he was complaining that it was the rest of his team's fault for the loss. While the loss can be a combination of teammate's mistakes, the fact that he gave up when we had the potential to come back, does not make it right for him to just out right give up. The rest of us fought till the time ran out as hard as we could.
Players who give up mid match should be punished in some form.
