It is not any near to an ex primal and everyone trying to claim that it takes more than 1/10 the effort to clear Shinryu than let's say Susano Ex was never in any "Susano Ex clear for a friend" Group or/and was never in a Shinryu group with a few people who actually can play.If SE made it so the difficulty of the content (leveling, normal dungeons etc) would gradually increase as the player levels up, then people would probably not have as much trouble clearing this fight as they are right now. Expecting players to experience very easy content then dropping something that is near extreme trial type of content, will only result in what we have right now.
An appropiate comparision is the last boss of any 24-man raid. The difficulty of Shinryu is pretty identical to these (if you keep ilvls in mind).
The same anger i got when someone in a Hard dungueon demanded me to play SMN pre-SB only single target because he played it that way in PotD and then tried to kick me from the duty? Not only he did not succeeded, the healer and him left both us DPS alone at the last boss. Even so, maybe i was too exreme with my example there. Still, we need something to discourage some players to just standing there or refusing to play at the minimum effort. Or if you want to look it this way something to encourage them to learn their class core mechanics at least. With all the fuss of RM i would say it's a start. Can you imagine the flaming and anger you would get, if we had a wipe during a leveling roulette being kicked out as a dps because of healer failure? Losing the xp up till then?
Qeue again for half an hour or more again, wasting the previous qeue and time spent in dungeon :O
SE would lose either subs faster then a a bottomless swimingpool loses water or dutyfinder would be very very dead for leveling purposes
I agree. In fact they could work with that increase of difficulty in the next MSQ, but then you will see more threads claiming for a nerf because "content it's too dificult to handle".If SE made it so the difficulty of the content (leveling, normal dungeons etc) would gradually increase as the player levels up, then people would probably not have as much trouble clearing this fight as they are right now. Expecting players to experience very easy content then dropping something that is near extreme trial type of content, will only result in what we have right now.
I dont think they should nerf it, but for the next expansion, I would advice SE to either increase the difficulty as the player levels up or keep the difficulty the same, what they did with Stormblood was not smart.
I miss those days when everyone just adapted to the game they were playing instead of crying for a nerf at the first problem.

Royal Menagerie Ex coming with 4.1
Then we can see if story or ex is harder ^^
If you find it way too difficult, just get your FC and/or friends to carry you through it. It's a social game for a reason.
It took me a few times to actually clear and this was when the expansion was fairly new...do I think it needs nerfed? No, not really.
Friend/recruitment code for special items and things (use before paying first sub) RACN78W5 (updated) info on items here http://sqex.to/Cz9 code is entered via the mogstation.
For a casual / Story content I think the difficulty is correct. We will receive soon a extreme version for those who want more hard fight.
What if said person doesn't have any friends and the FC they in doesn't want to do it? I've seen this happen more over than not. Again, with me in trying to find people to do the 24 mans. This isn't as easy as people like to think it is. :c I'm not attacking you, but really that right there isn't as easy as you or many people seem to think it is. Geting people together to do something. It's more like pulling teeth for some people.
Unsynced Ifrit EX is probably harder than normal Shinryu, just because people keep trying to burn him down and getting screwed by skipping nail phases. Moggle Mog EX has a similar issue.
this is totally untrue , and I love how this thread is going all these people like oh dont nerf it are probably the main ones who will leave after two wipes if someone is slow to learn the fight. And I have stated clearly this isnt a fight that needs to be nerfed but for a normal fight this is hard to alot of people whom dont do harder content in the game. And its not like the people here gona sit there and do 50 mins of wiping until some of those same people get a grasp on the fight.
