I have yet to see a single response from the development team about this. Right now I'm in the middle of a mega crafting session, cleaning up some raw materials that have been accumulating for wvr, lth, gs. Over 3 hours now, new moon, and not a single +1. This even for cotton yarn and cloth ><

Futhermore, the more I craft under existing code, the angrier I become. There is so much RNG in the coding, and now, since the patch, in correlation with this a dramatic - and I mean dramatic increase in first attempt fails. Don't even think about Careful synthesis, because fail rates are huge, even for recipes substantially below my level, and more often than not it's going, first, unstable, and then, even if you wait to white and Standard, highly likely chaotic. In other words, the deck is totally stacked against us. This is just plain wrong.

I didn't begin playing this game with any intention of crafting. Unfortunately, crafting plays a very important part in this game, and you either go with the flow, or rely on others for your various crafting needs. Therefore, since crafting is such a huge part of this game - like it or not - the least you can do is clean up this coding. I'm of the silly belief that if I spend tons of time and effort to become competent in a particular craft, I should be rewarded, and by that I mean recipes should become easier, the higher level I get, and HQ'd should also become more likely.

I don't even like where I think the develpment team is headed with HQ's. I.E. - we're guaranteed a HQ synth with all HQ materials. What that means is, once again, no reward for crafting competency (read that level/gear/abilities) vs. the recipe level. Essentially what that does is allow level 30 players, for example, the same HQ odds as a level 50, and that's just plain wrong too.

I've posted, I don't even remember how many posts now about this, and I'm not alone, and yet I haven't seen a single response from the development team, acknowledging this problem, and any attempt, whatsoever, addressing how they plan to fix this crap coding. I've spent way more time than I care to admit leveling my crafting classes, crp, lth, wvr, gs, alc, all level 50, and I've endured this RNG bullsh*t for over a year now, and I think we all deserve an answer on this. So how about it development team?

Update and additional commentary - 5 full hours now and I finally got my first HQ. This on recipes, some for which I got 0 xp, the highest level synth was undyed felt, for which I get all of 65 ish xp. You see any particular justice in this for all the effort I spent getting my weaver to 50? I don't. Furthermore, on the undyed felt, roughly half the time I was lucky to get the synth above 50 quality, even though this synth is substantially below my level. Again, more often than not, first attempt fail ><, then try to hit a Careful, even on a white orb, and bang - fail or unstable.

I have no idea on gear anymore, further, I'd like to add some materia to my tools, but I'm not doing that until this mess is cleaned up. Also, it would be nice to unravel the 'mysteries' of craftsmanship, mcraft, control. I'm so loaded with control right now, beyond what I want to be and stuff goes unstable/chaotic now more than it ever has. How about simplying this along with pertient attribute stats conbritubtion to success and HQ's. I have all the pertinent attribute conversion GM abilities, as well as 3 +7 rings I wear for the appropriate tool. You think that is all that relavent or pertinent? It sure as hell should be but I don't see it.

For your 5 hour session with very few HQ...what kind of numbers is your quality ending up with?
Anyway, craftsmanship improves quality and I have observed that craftsmanship tends to go up higher if the risk of an action is higher. (e.g. Careful synthesis during flashing)

I do not know what the chances of HQ are now but I heard they bumped it up some in one of the other threads around.

But yeah unable to touch up parts and materials is a problem.

It seems like the dev team has been in complete silence mode since the announcement of 2.0 and the start of pay to play. The lodestone hasn't seen many updates at all either.

How? I am assuming gathering leves. When I use to be into DoL gathering leves were quite useless. Have I missed something on one of these past few patches?

I've been trying to skill up on wildfowl fletchings, current level 18, and I've been failing using both craftsmanship & magic craftsmanship. I would have moments where I would get nothing but successes on both but more often than not I would fail miserably using either set.

If every recipe uses either craftsmanship or magic craftsmanship than I should have seen some benefit from using a craftsmanship or magic craftsmanship set. Why am I failing miserably using both sets?

Either this hypothesis is bogus or something else is factoring in to the equation.
I posted that in this thread http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...Crafting/page2

Something is seriously wrong with crafting. There is no way it should be this hard.
