    So really, the colors have no point in this game, the only time you get a different stat weight for same ilevel is NQ crafted gear and RNG pink gear. Did they just copied that from other games without understanding the point of it? lamo
    The text color match the gear's type of origin

    White = crafted or from vendors (HQ will have the main stats on cap)
    Pink = lv 17-49 dungeons or from Diadem (main stats on cap, second stats are random)
    Green = dungeons and special crafting recipes (have a higher ilevel than white gear of the same level)
    Blue = Raid gear, token gear (include tomes), primal gear
    Purple = Relict

    Except Pink (which was new in ARR), those colors were used in that way already in 1.x

    Maybe the devs can alow us to change the background color of the windows, like in some older FF games?

    No it does not, colors are meaningless in this game. There is also blue crafted.

    I do not see why the text has to match the background color since they are meaningless anyway.

    How so? White HQ = Blue drop/blue bought by tokens / blue crafted HQ= green drop = green HQ crafted = pink (as far as Damage and main stats)
    Other the pink pointing out random sub stats and white NQ/green NQ/blue NQ being under stat totals (btw white NQ= green NQ = Blue NQ) the colors are meaningless. The only thing that has meaning is HQ/NQ difference and they do not differ in color other then a little symbol and border outline. So if I have a crafted blue i250 weapon lets say, it needs be HQ to it have the same stats as blue drops, blue token and white HQ and green HQ will have same stats, etc and a blue NQ will have the same stats as white NQ or green NQ, how in the world do colors have meaning in this game?

    But I will accept your idea :3
