    How to limit global chat:

    - Make a new Hunt tab in the chat box. Some kind of special global linkshell that you can turn off or on.
    - New option when you right click a target hp bar with "Link Hunt" or something like that which has <pos> and <t> in the formula that gets automatically linked in the hunt tab.
    - Additionally, a new command that also links the target's HP percent to warn other players if boss is dying/nearly dead and they don't waste time moving for nothing or if it has been pulled or not.

I actually like this idea, but maybe some tweaks might make it work better.

One thing we already know is that Square has the ability to do things like this. I remember seeing a server announcement for the SE Community team doing Culling Time on their Twitch channel a few times in chat.

As for the notifications themselves though, what if there was some sort of way to subscribe to notifications about different types of things; i.e. , hunt spawns, Fates that the player is interested in (Ixion, Coerulregina, Behemoth, necessary Crystal Tower Fates, any Fate in a zone, etc.) or housing opening in a certain ward/zone, etc.? (These are just hypothetical, by the way, nothing that I would or wouldn't like to see in game.)

We already know 3rd party apps such as Guildworks are able to grab hunt information and put it into chat with ease, so the tech could probably be set up fairly simple, but I wouldn't expect it right away. I think that this could be a solution to what Smoken would like to see, but it also allows so that those who are not interested in such things can make it so that they don't interfere with their chat.

This is also off the top of my head, so it's a very rough idea.

Hunt's are meant for those who actually do them and not sit back and leech. Waiting for people to shout all the time or call out in linkshell, while you never tried or barely tried to look/spawn one is leeching. The idea is bad imo and it's only making things worse than it is, by that I mean there will be more salty people, since once it's shouted in every zone, it's gonne be more salt shouts.

My take on it is no, a hunt that takes maybe at most 24 people to kill isn't something the whole server needs to know. In fact I'm pressed to even think of one thing in the game open world ended that the entire server needs to know about. Maybe if they aded in zone bosses ala GW2 that would be another story and a reason to upgrade the servers to allow for more then 100 people in a zoneAS it is now, things get around easy enough about hunt spawns and rare FATE spawns. A global chat channel is largely un-needed in my opinion. However if one were implemented someday should a need for one arise, I would be okay if its use to post messages in was locked behind a paywall to prevent miss-use or for frivolous chat.

Then there are empty servers and people without LS hunts that can't kill those because no one is in the map and shouting is useless.

There was a time when Siren only has 1-2 active hunt LS. Maintain a dedicated hunting, kick inactives or only there for 1 mark.
I was lucky to be invited out of nowhere when I was leaf and interested to be in the same hunt spots as them.
A single light party is enough to spread and look around. It's not about the killing, there is effort to look/spawn for marks.

edit: I don't want global shout. It's bad enough for real hunters that spawn/camp/look to have early relays/pulls.
When someone found a mark, I usually wait for the spawners. Also I don't do ARR ranks because new players need the mount speed.
I would come it's worded for help request.

Make a PF group on your server asking to join a hunt linkshell. Eventually, someone will join your party and add you. Then you can shout after a hunt asking to join more. That is how I got on my first linkshell and subsequent ones.

    Global shout for A ranks?

    Global shout for anything?

    What could possibly go wrong?
