Request to make (A & S Rank) Elite Marks and Super Fates Shout-able Through server

I know that we are all capable of joining a hunt LS. But if a player is new and do not have access to a hunt LS, the chance of them being able to get the credit for a A or S rank.or tomestones or seals are very slim.so it wold be nice to have a way that all players can see the shout and have a chance to fight it.

For Super Fates. Like Ixion..... unless you are willing to camp the hell out of the zone. or know someone who is camping the hell out of it. how is new players to be able to get the fight/win/mount. the pop time in stupid insane for him. and there are others like it.

A better shout system would allow players to free there time up, and enjoying the rest of what the game has to offer.

Global chats normally end in failure. Next point, Hunts and those special fates aren't meant to be server events. The game has shown it isn't designed around 100 people showing up for a mob or tiny event. But hey you got MSQ the rest of game play is secondary ask most of these forums.

Global shout is the best thing to have. i am not saying to have the option for global chit chat. only for major fights. Second, if there is a hunt or fate that requires more then a party of 8 to kill, then what would it be considered to be? if you needs help from other players on the server to get the win. maybe on your server it only takes 8 players to defeat something like ixion, or the S Ranks in stormblood. But on famfrit if takes a lot more players then 8.. so if its a group of 8+ then its a sever effort to do. so a shout letting all the people know its up would be a good thing, i would think.

As for the MSQ, well we all know that its way to easy and over way to fast. so what else are new players to do, just turn off the game and wait until the next patch.the secondary things of the game is what keeps players staying around playing. so why not make it better for all players to be able to work together. develop a friendship a Bond so to speak in the game. to me it seems like a game everyone would want to be apart of.

Firstly, welcome to the forums! :3

Now on the topic, I understand where you're coming from, and I do agree that the proposed feature might be helpful if implemented, sadly it not quite likely to happen. If players have full control over server-wide shouts, there will surely be people using it to grief/troll. If it's a fully system generated server-wide announcement, it will defeat the purpose of hunting (and maybe super fates).

With that said, I still hope that someday when the game engine gets an overhaul, we can get some crazy open world epic fight that do require the majority server population to participate with a system generated server-wide announcement. A SSS-fate full scale war with garlands army maybe? :x

Ok, so, you remember how bad the lag and the disconnects and the congestion and the general inability to play in the zone whenever Ixion was around?

Now, imagine if everybody that wasn't camping also got an alert to join in that mess.

Let me start by saying: No, I dont think we need that.
Now to conter a few of your arguments:

    - if a player is new or doesnt has a hunting-LS but becomes intrested in that part of the game nothing is stopping that person to get themself out there, find a hunting-LS and become part of a community that is actively hunting - as in: Looking for hunt-mobs aswell as spawning them (S-ranks have special conditions and often active hunters are trying hard to fullfill them in order to spawn that S-rank). That new person shouldnt expect to get that sort of thing handed to them - if they want it, they might aswell put the effort into it. Also: Whats the point in a new person who just reached level 50 to hear of an S-rank in The Lochs? Or the Ixion-Fate?
    - Hunting-LS are excatly the place to work together towards a common goal. A global chat isnt. You dont develop a friendship because someone posted the position of an S-rank and you rush there and shout for an invite along with 100 other people
    - How do you limit the global chat to Hunt/Fate-Callouts? I dont know if you've turned shout-chat off but with the amount of FC-advertising-spam we're getting in there already I really, really dont want to see a global chat with even more spam of that sort. (Okay, I could just turn it off for myself - but I know a lot of people who'd do the same and if half the server turns off that chat anyways whats the point in it?) I guess you could try something like a posting-limit for the global-chat but nothing would stop people to use theres up on, well, FC-spam or other nonsense.
    - Hunts and Mega-Fates arent supposed to be done with the whole server. Zones cant even handle that many people - I dont know about your server but on Odin we still have instances for Ixion-zone to prevent it from crashing. Those arent events that are supposed to bring the whole server together.
    - HP of S- and A-ranks are always the same, they dont scale. So if a party of 8 can defeat a hunt-mob on one world, a party of 8 can defeat it on another world - unless that party isnt skilled enough. If it takes you guys on Famfrit more people to kill something than on other worlds, that might be a problem with a general skill-level - no insult intended, but that argument is downright silly, sorry.

You're talking about forming bonds and about having social interaction to keep people playing, but your suggestion seems like a horrible way to do that to me.
You dont form bonds because you follow a shout into an area to zerg down a mob in 20 seconds.
You dont have anything to do because you're waiting for those callouts, made by people who are actively hunting, looking for mobs, even spawning them.
You can accomplish both though by joining a hunting-LS and become part of that community if thats what you're intrested in.

Sorry, but a global-chat, specially in this context, sounds like nothing more than heaven for FC-ads and hunt-"leechers".
(and seriously: There is a lot more to do than MSQ aswell - hunts/massive Fates are just a small part of that - I agree on the social interaction part and maybe this is just me, but I can only repeat: I doubt that a global-hunt-callout would accomplish that)

The chances are actually not all that slim. I am not part of any hunt LS, yet I have managed to participate in the killing of quite a few A and S ranks, as well as some of the special FATEs.
If a player is really interested in the hunt marks, they can always join a hunt LS as you note. If they are not that interested - then it doesn't matter much if they miss some of them, does it?

In short there is no need for any type of global shout - which would only be abused for inane chit-chat anyway.

That's what I was thinking as well. A server wide chat would more then likely be used for everything under the sun, and any hunt call outs would be lost in the sea of FC advertisements, party finder advertisements, RMT spam and general chit chat. It could be limited though, I forget the game that does this but they do have a global chat channel that requires the use of a consumable item to type to the channel. I think said consumable item was cash shop obtained only though. One item use per message. So that people that only had messages the server absolutely needed to see could post in it.

Yeah, as I mentioned I was thinking they could consider something like that aswell, but here is the thing: Would people consider announcing A and S ranks something the server absolutly need to know? Should they even consider that something the server absolutly needs to know?
My answer is: No they wouldnt - and no, they shouldnt even. We know very well that the server couldnt even handle everyone showing up for a kill (and no, I dont think we need to upgrade the servers to be able to handle 100+ people in one zone when thats something that happens rarely, thats a waste of ressources).
Call me a mean, bitter, cynical elitist, but: why shoulds I use up one of my posts (wether they're earned in game, are just limited to like three per day or bought in the cash shop) in that global chat to announce a hunt-mob so every stranger on that server can rush into that zone, crash it, make everyone wait for 15+ minutes with the pull (because theres still "someone on their way!"), and probably dont get full credit anymore because to many people were zerging that poor thing down in 5 seconds?
    Yeah, no...
(I mean... why would I pay to let other people know that we've found a hunt when I can just alert my friends and we can kill the thing anyways? I like to think of myself as a nice person, but sorry, not that nice.)

If you want to get hunt callouts: go and do what OP actually suggested: Socialise. In this case: with the hunting-community on your server.
A global chat isnt/wouldnt be the right place for that anyways - only for server-wide spam...
