When you have a bad group that keeps getting hit by mechanics, healers would be.

More often than not, I've seen Mentors quit a mentor roulette and it's often the tanks or healers due to the dungeon. Really no punishment in Mentors and it's almost sickening, it's sad. This is why I avoid giving mentors comms similarly, unless they show why they're mentors in game.

Why meaning willing to explain to new players in the dungeon with them, or advising from the side without being condescending (which I've also seen quite a bit)

    Of course:
I believe the sole qualification, for receiving a commendation, should be for succeeding at your role. Commendations are completely optional.

    But maybe:
Healers are put under the most stress during duty-finder runs and could use a little mental love after it.

If you don't heal enough, someone hates you.
If you don't DPS enough, someone hates you.
If you don't [supportive action], someone hates you.
Through all the stupid things people do, they must survive at all costs - or they hate you. It's your role ("job") to keep the facerollers alive.

In this game healing or tanking are roles just like DPS. They are not more important, nor are they more challenging to play as a rule. Sure there are some encounters that require more healing or tanking skill but that is not always the case. You are not doing us any favors.[/QUOTE]
let me say, as a healer main I dont expect commidations They are nice but I wont get upset.

But you are wrong/foolish if you think this quote is true. Healng/tanking is not like dps A good healer/tank can get through dungeons without a dps.

I dont see dps getting past dungeons without a healer/tank. or at least a Healer. Ive had to run a dungeons tankless as sch. We keep mobs off you and keep people alive. You say "we are not doing you any favors".
friend Id love to see you get into a dungeon with no healer/tank or make it through one. Unlike dps who are a dime a dozen. (i appreciate most dps, but seriously there's tons)

TBH the only thing I mentor with players is when I see them making mistakes in how they are using skills on their current job. One of the most common is new tanks that needlessly spam provoke when they already have top enmity on the target.

I choose not to explain dungeons because I'd rather the player learn how to analyze, think, and problem solve. Something they won't develop if everyone keeps telling them exactly what to do and when on everything. But then I normally hit new content when its added and no one in the entire party knows what's coming.

In hard content yeah, in easy content no, healing easy content is not difficult at all because heals are too overpowered in this game.

If you truly believe healing is on the same level of skill as DPS I don't believe you make the most out of your healers.

That aside, healers and tanks are just people forfilling their role and I don't believe they have the right to comms over DPS. You picked the role yourself after all, and should be playing it because you enjoy it.

They aren't more important... they are the same as DPS roles. As noone can't really do anything without the other. you need all the roles. We're all equally important to the balance of the game. Are their people who are simply OP? Ofcourse. That's gaming. But that's the person not the role. The person is who's making whatever insert job here so op he doesn't need anyone else. But 90% of the rest of the game. Yeah OP is right. We all need each other and thats ok. I mean you're not going to see healers clear any sav content - when it's new and fresh- on their own with any DPS, that's just not going to happen so thats what I'm basing my comment on.-
