    Fire damage doesn't heal fire mobs?

    Isn't this a FF staple?

    Just wondering why this FFesque little tidbit never made it into the game.

    *For all elements mind you.

    In other FF games, hitting a monster of an element with the same element (nuke or otherwise) healed the monster. Fire damage to bombs, Wind damage to air type mobs, Earth to ground.

    Do miss the days when you:

    /nukes the bomb with Fire 3.

    It does on pudding-type mobs, but it'd be cool to see it for most elementally-aligned mobs.

    Same applies to us... if we had X resistance we could absorb that elemental and heal us.

    Yeah, they'll likely begin introducing this more widely when they balance everything out. It's one thing I missed and really miss it from FFXI as it forced you to pay attention to what you're doing even in a 'zerg' fight.

    Speaking of FFXI, I hope they bring Djinns back, the bomb type that explodes if you nuke them with the element matching the day, dunno how it would work in XIV, but I hope they bring it back >.>.

    it was never all mobs in any ff, only specific ones with a high affinity. and there are some cases, like bombs where they were actually weak to their own element

    owwwww i like that idea maybe an item that does this, but you sacrifice resistance to the opposite stat. so like a idk Ice Hat that cures you when you take ice damage but 1 fire nuke and your toast.

    half damage if your affinity was high...
    No damage if it was really HIGH
    and absorb damage to HP if your element was SUPER HIGH

    My guess this will not happen. How easy will a primal battle, such a ifrit, when you stat resist to super high levels.

    Ifrit does super AoE Fire spell of doom and the party is healed to full....
    The standard for every battle of a primal would become stack the element of the NM to high levels.
