Healer matchmaking in 4v4 Feast.

Anyway, this post is concerning the state of the current matchmaking system and healers. 4v4 Feast seems to favor teams that have the more skilled healer.

That said, when a team gets a healer that is Silver tier versus a healer that is Platinum tier, the match will almost certainly go to the team with the Platinum healer (if the Silver tier player isn't at the skill level of the Platinum player). The same goes with Bronze healer versus Gold healer.

My suggestion is that SE develop a better matchmaking system that matches healers according to their respective tier levels, instead of Bronze vs. Gold and Silver vs. Platinum healers.

Of course, there's the option to balance the ability of all jobs to carry a team. However, I think it might be highly unlikely considering that the healing job is... the way it is. Therefore, I feel a different matchmaking requirement for healers is necessary.

Yes relying on rng to give you a good team is totally fine

Could always learn how to heal in feast and carry the team yourself. And that's kinda why we see mostly healers on the top 100 I think. But yeah the matchmaking is annoying at times, getting those sprouts going blind in your ranked is booty.

While it is true that the team with the most skilled healer is usually at a significant advantage, there's other things to consider.
If DPS know their burst rotation really well and knows is to hone in on a target.
If the tank can successful pressure the healer while DPS bursts down.

Healing is only one part of what you need to win. Doesn't matter how good you are, if your BLM is doing 50k dmg in the span of a 5 min fight (this actually happened), or the tank is 1v1ing the other tank for whatever reason, you've lost.

Depends more on the healer side of that argument anyway. A good Scholar can deal with a tank being in their face AND keep themselves and their DPS up, I've seen it. A healer can easily carry a group many times over better than a DPS can. I can burst someone to 10% but if my ranged partner isn't ready for it or helping me on the target, the healer heals them.

The argument that a good DPS can swing a match is totally dependent on the healer, in my opinion. The lack of communication makes DPS carries much harder because I can't just coordinate burst with my partner. It may work better against Ast/Whm, but good healers seem like they and their teammates are just immortal.

By the way people think in this forum, they will probably blame you and not the silver rank healer.

People who complain about others tend to not look at themselves.
You lose some games by default in every game, but you should still win most of your games if you perform better than everybody else.
And with a small pvp community like this one its pretty obvious that some people know you, and know if you carry your weight.
Stop crying and learn to play better holymoly.
Also nothings stopping you from healing yourself if its that broken :^)
