Physic is a worthless skill on Summoner that barely heals 1% of a Summoner's health. Physic is far too weak healing only 597 health on my Ilvl 325 summoner for 600 mana, and is utterly useless. The level 54 Vercure costs the same amount of Mana as Physic as heals for 7,143 health and restores roughly 20% of my hp.
Your argument is invalid however, as every class in the game has a way to either reduce damage or heal themselves. As a Black mage you have Mana Wall that reduces damage upto 30% of your maximum health. I'll name a few more more skills for you. Riddle of Earth, Third Eye, Shade Shift, Bloodbath, Second Wind, Troubadour, etc. You weaken Red Mage's vercure and the only significant way they have to heal themselves is gone. They have no way to shield themselves from any damage, and their only heal would be reduced to an utterly worthless ability. Also seeing how Red Mage is the combination of Black Magic, and White Magic, It makes sense they would have 1 decent healing spell among the 9 Damage dealing spells that they have.
If you want to get rid of Vercure, you would have to replace it with a Red Mage spell that Reduces damage, and can proc Dualcast. Otherwise Red Mage is one of the few classes in the game unable to heal or mitigate damage somehow through some method.
