"No longer fun" XD. The Hunt was never really any fun LUL.
Wish they would do something about adding Allied Seals to new world A and S ranks though.

I keep hoping that maybe, when Eureka Woods is introduced, they'll have a solution to this convoluted mess of "hunts" that actively encourages people to take down bigger monsters as a group - kind of like the original diadem ended up doing.
Wait, wait, wait.
The Hunt was fun?
We were not actually searching for any hunts at the time. Instead this an observation upon something that has become an issue with the community, and how people who were on their way or being polite enough to wait on others being shafted by an impatient person who themselves only discovered the hunt most likely by the same shout that is attracting others. Private hunt parties going around and laying hunts low isn't the problem here, nor the fact that we were two botanists just passing through the area.
When exactly was the hunt fun?

i soloed lord of the wyverns this morning. it was shouted out in my linkshells but no one came, i had it all to myself mwa ha ha ha
To retort that, most of the time, what I've first-handedly witnessed, the people who actually found or spawned the hunts are those who wait. And after they shouted and notified people, they still wait.I hate that this mentality was even ever a thing. Sucks the fun right out of what Hunts were meant to be; the competition of your group getting to a mark before others was good stuff. Made actively participating something necessary and worthwhile, instead of hunters being a workhorse for everyone else while they meander in other zones waiting for a call out. That people actually expected these few folks to put out effort for the sake of others doing nothing and getting in on the reward was pretty gross.
As stated before, the sharing should be met with gratitude.
Then, along came some "selfish" jerks who just flew in from nowhere and started attacking, or bait other people into attacking (by aggroing the hunt and making it "active" making some people jump their gun).
So to speak, those late comers who early pull don't deserve what you described. Because they didn't put effort in finding or spawning it, either.
I do agree, however, that hunters should be active, and not just waiting for others to notify them of hunts.
PS. I am more pissed when I'm the first one who found and announced the hunt, and then some ass flew in to ninja pull it even before we had enough people, than when I was following other people's announcement and someone pulled early and the hunt was killed before I could get full seals. (You know, that furious feeling of "I found it first and I was still waiting, you knew about it only because I announced it and who the hell are you to decide when to pull?!?") But sometimes it was satisfying to see the early puller die because no one helped them. :3

I managed to be on a hunt team today which waited a decent amount of time before pulling each hunt target, maybe your problem is more of a thing on your server?
That. And perhaps time of the day. There are hours when my server's hunt groups are savage and drama-inducing. So I select to go on hunt when there are less early puller and angry shouters. Downside is that the group gathering could take a long time. I would guess that the more crowded it is, the more chance for SOMEONE to step out of line and early pull even if the majority of the group want to wait.
