I'm hoping if/when they do implement a glamour log, the "catalyst" to record a piece will be when a piece of gear is spiritbound to a player, as opposed requiring a glamour prism to log each piece of gear.

I could just imagine what it would do to the price of toad leather and silver ingots, if the glamour log required an obscene amount of prisms.

Of course, using a prism does also spiritbind a piece of gear. Still, it would be nice to have a "no-cost" option, with normal spiritbinding, and a quick option, with glamour prisms.

    Options, would be grand.

This is the #1 thing I hope to see from this game in the near future. The glamour system needs a serious rework. It's so clunky and hard to manage compared to other games. =/

I'm pretty sure it would cost a glamour prism, and there would be no other way. I'm honestly not sure what the point would be of having the glamour prism way if you can do it so easily for free. All you need to do to bind an item is cut down one little level 1 bug just outside of the city and done.

    Yep.

Two major things I would like:

    1) Glamour log. I get a piece of gear and bind it to you, that appearance is unlocked in the log and can then be used on appropriate jobs while the item can be vendored or broken down.
    2) Glamours locked to jobs not pieces of gear. So my warrior, paladin and dark knight can all share the same pieces of lv70 fending gear, but glam it differently.

This is one thing I'm not immensely keen on.
    1) I tend to share the same appearance across jobs and roles, so it would be less convenient in cases such as mine.
    2) The interface and mechanism would be less intuitive at that point. Anything they add, I would like to be simple enough that you can use with no guide or help topic; too many systems in MMOs wind up being needlessly convoluted.

If the option to update glamour was free and capable of being macroed, it would mitigate the problem with using different sets between classes. That in itself would be kind of awkward, but would allow the core system to remain simple and intuitive.

My guess would be that recording items to the log wouldn't be when prisms are required. The prisms would remain for when you actually glamour them to your gear, just as it is now. The difference is that you'd be able to glamour from the log instead of just from your inventory.

(But then, who knows if SE would come up with some other complexity for recording items to our log...)

Doesn't have to be convoluted at all. If they make it like Rift or WildStar, you can just premake a bunch of outfits and switch them around whenever you feel like.

    Example:

Or we don't want to face the fact we wasted our time and money on a game that we thought had the potential to be great but has just grown stagnant since 3.0... =w=()

At most only mildly so. When you glamour something, you might repeat it a couple more times. Easy enough. As compared to the current situation where people who want them different have no option whatsoever to achieve that, taking an extra couple clicks to make them the same is a non-issue.

Possibly. Or it could just as well be more intuitive. It depends how they design the UI (and indeed how they design the feature itself). I see no reason for jumping from the idea that they'd need to change the interface to the conclusion that the result would be worse than it is now.
