This thread is waaaay derailed. I was't even looking for a translated video nor am I going to see it as all the important stuff was tweeted by then almost real time when it was filmed. The whiny complainers in this thread that for some reason can't open one damn twitter page are the reason why SE sealed the YouTube access THEY are my problem. Also they are the reason 90% of the replies are totally off-topic. Thanks to Quantumsaint I found the video that was ALL I'm asking for.

And those complaining about the subs and video coming out really need to chill. Apparently, maybe most of you are children...or uneducated in the methods of producing a video and releasing it to the public. A business does not just release a video.

It's what we call COPY. It needs to be properly translated then approved. Then it need to be worded and fit into the video...and approved again. It's not your fly by night translation and throw it out to everyone.

This is a business and businesses follow guidelines and procedures.

It takes longer because they need to make extra sure that everything is accurate and nothing is misleading. This isn't easy when dealing with completely different languages. If they didn't and rushed it out, the community would uproar about some misconception and Yoshi would have to come forward, personally apologize, and clarify the issue(s), and this is bad for their image. Some forum mods have already had to step forward to clarify misconceptions from current translations out there.

If you want a rough translation to get the gist, Reinhart has gone out of his way to make one available. If you want an official translation with all the kinks worked out, it takes a little more time.

Well this is just stupid lol... I work for a huge international company that deals with a bit more important things than computer games and we have translated and subtitled video feeds available in more than just English the following day the latest from the conference. Translators get paid for a reason...
I agree that it's taking quite a while but at the same time I am giving them thumbs up for at least translating it, as there are some companies who wouldn't even bother.

Their sole workload is not these letters. I don't know how they distribute their translators around the company, but if it's the same people that work on the games themselves... yeah. They have a lot in their hands.

I agree with you. I definitely think it's a workload problem, or rather what work takes priority over what. When they release these live letters, it should be top priority at that moment. I find it odd how they give a video in Japanese and then makes everyone who can't speak the language wait a week for a translation.

But then my post was mostly referring to people who were saying it's hard to translate stuff. I don't think that's the issue here at all.

Also, I just want to point out that a bit of *healthy* discussion without calling people names and using swear words is fine. Nothing wrong with giving your opinion as long as it's done in a respectful manner (and trust me, I have a lot of respect for the people working on this game, including the translators).

Telling people to STFU and get a life, is not the way to go. That makes you just as bad, as far as I'm concerned.

Are some of you guys seriously trying to call me out and defend them to the moon and back? really? all I said is it should have been released by now with no excuses. Theres no reasons for a company as big as SE to not have this out...So much for tryinbg to change there ways huh? same ol same ol from SE when it comes to the international fanbase, but its ok go worship and suck up to the devs if it makes you feel better. trust me they dont care what you or we have to say... just look at the majority of the questions answered and where they were from. ^^
