I was thinking how Jandelaine really should have his own shop for being
Eorzea's greatest stylist. So why not make it I thought! ^^
And with that they could add for us a DOH class ‘Stylist’.

Players could learn how to make hairstyles like the Modern Aesthetics stuff
for other players and maybe hair gel and perfume that work as food boosts well like food boosts etc.

And along with the hair, could make new lip colours/hair colours, face accesories, tattoos etc

So please pass to the devs! Thank you! ^^

I think she means to make items to unlock new hairstyles and stuff. Sounds fun to me. More customization is never a bad thing, and it doesn't mean that they're going to remove the aesthetician.

I'm not a crafter but if the only way to get new hairstyles and character customization items was through crafting I guess I would be forced to

Well, they've always had multiple ways of obtaining items. IDK if you could build an entire crafting class around it, but if, theoretically, we had this crafter, it's unlikely to be the ONLY way to obtain new styles. Just like crafting isn't the only way to get new furniture.

While it would be fun to have a new crafter about, this seems like more work due to having to gate new hairstyles and colors behind the job, and additionally modeling enough to make the job worth it for every race. I mean look how few options are out already, imagine trying to have a class that would have to learn the recipes. On the other hand I think DoL definitely could use a new class since we have quite a bit of crafting classes as is.
