Its time to remove job-based glamour restrictions.

I don't mind DoW/DoM artifact gear being locked, since it's pretty iconic and directly tied to the job. I wouldn't mind if the crafter/gatherer "AF" sets were unlocked, though- omnicrafters/gatherers already can't make use of those sets anymore once better, shared crafting gear comes along, so it goes to waste. I'll admit, there are some jobs I've leveled solely for glamour reasons, and I'd totally get into crafting/gathering if their AF sets were unlocked. Leveling those is a lot of work, and I think being able to use their exclusive outfits as glamour on combat classes would be a great reward/incentive to get people trying them.

Just tell me the Miner AF sets don't look right at home on Machinist, or that the level 60 Weaver AF wouldn't be an amazing caster set.

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to get at lol. I'm sorry if it wasn't clear ;.; I want more options! There's a really nice glam I want to use on my bard, but it would require the star velvet healing chest. That makes no sense to restrict for me.

Personally, I've been talking about gear in general as well as crafter and gatherer AF sets, as DoL/DoH sets are almost impossible to ever glamour because of how the system currently functions and some of those pieces are completely unique and have no equal matches to generic gear; like ALC having nice, flat skirt (without straps), and so on. Combat AF should stay locked, as I am sure most agree, but everything else should be free game.

Agreed 100%. I never get to see any of the Crafter/Gatherer AF sets, and this would actually tempt me to level those Classes if it means I can wear the Craft/Gather AFs on my combat jobs.

Anyone who wants to try to hide their class in PvP can already do so (insofar as that actually works) by wearing any seasonal gear, cash shop gear, sub rewards, etc. This would be such a huge improvement!

In all honesty I wish they'd do away with it. It would allow for more creative outfits. What I really want is to be able to wear my Lynxliege set on all classes.

I think it makes more sense to add more glamour is non class specific rather than change what is existing. If you make it harder to get or a lower drop rate at least you push people to get it and there is some reward. But artifact/job specific gear should stay the same.

It makes no sense for a white mage to be clad into battle with a Dark Knight gear set.

The Eureka Gear is indeed providing some “unrestricted glamour” versions of certain gear sets, but it’s not the same thing as being able to glamour anything freely.

I’ve said elsewhere, I think they want to keep the job artifact gearsets locked, and suspect that because of how the system is programmed everything else has to be locked down basically as a side-effect of doing that. I figure it might be the case that they can unlock everything or nothing, but not “everything except these few specific items”.

Eh, I don't really have very strong feelings for or against glamouring, but I guess I'm with Elamys. As long as the DoW/M AF gear stays locked, I'd fine with everything else being able to be glamoured willy-nilly.
