Thanks SE for worrying for us Brazilians and Russians

For anyone thinking that this was a mistake or Brazilians/Russians exploiting prices and stuff like that without any real information, Square ENIX have 239 itens on sale on steam, 93 of them are games that she develops or at least publishes. There is games a lot older than FFXIV on steam and all the games i checked had better prices for Brazilians at least.

What I mean by that is, don't be naive, SE is not an indie company... She have a lot of experience with steam. She knows exactly what she is doing and she can change the prices anytime she wants, proof of that is that she already changed it twice and will change again in 2 months.

What happened here is that she decided to charge full dolar price on her services now (not games, games still have regional price cause its probably better to sell cheaper but sell a lot and she is not alone on this, most companies have regional prices here), she saw that she should have sent a warning first and gave us two months with old price. This is a decision made by SE, is not an error, it's not an exploit.

About PS4 players, here in Brazil things are different... Almost everything on PS4 is more expensive than on PC, most games have better prices on PC than on PS4 for us, Witcher 3 for example costed 130BRL for me and 200BRL for ps4/xone players so people that plays on PS4 already knew what they were getting into before even buying the console. And even PS4 players were able to pay regional price, cause a lot of them had the base game on steam and paid their monthly fee there while still playing the game on PS4.

So please let's end this discussion, nobody was exploiting anything, nobody made a mistake. This were just business, SE decided to have a new price and we asked for a warning time, we got that time and everything is fine now.

Only Russia and Brazil, out of all the other countries that have the game on Steam, had a cheaper pricing on Steam. Furthermore, these two countries pays the correct price on the other platforms. Pretty obvious it was a mistake and an oversight. No idea why everyone is comparing the pricing of FFXIV with other games. That is an inaccurate comparison. You should be comparing the prices of FFXIV between the different platforms. And cut it with arguments about the British prices. You should know of the complicated relation between EU and Britain.

I was gone for a few weeks because vacation, even as a Canadian I paid more for my sub, that being said I didn't know had a re-occurring sub and didn't realize that it costed me more. At least it's being fixed but yeah I can understand how everyone was frustrated, they fixed it and said sorry so let's move on.
