No, not most. Those that do, you end up waiting an entire expansion for and it becomes crafted leveling gear. That's hardly what people mean when they ask for something to be dyeable.
This is no where near the same as the Shisui sets being dyeable. As for Shisui gear, people were eager to have it dyeable and have been requesting it from day 1. Here you are. Is all this drama really necessary?

they are.. because of the dual color theme (red/white) contrast vs the single color theme (red/lesser red)

Let's all be honest here, all these events that we get gear how many players just add it to the armoire and forget about it? lol
I do agree however that there is large amounts of gear recycling from SE, ARR had some, HW had even more, and now i guess SB is following same route
I have not tried the event itself out yet but feel like those are not exciting like events used to be. Remember the xmas one years ago where there were snowmen in fates and all that?
While i do not agree event= let's tie it to a fate, back then it was actually fun. SE need to bring the fun back in events, they are dull now days
Pretty sure I already put in my two cents here but I think the shusui (?) gear really had no business being an event item. The people that have been defending it by saying it's unique because it doesn't have the necklace part or that since it's dyeable it's okay- what? A lot of the gear in Stormblood is already in the game (most of the crafter and gatherer junk). It's really disappointing!
Am I the only one bothered by the actual content of the event quest? The whole thing felt incredibly skeezy, having to re-enact Gegeruju and Jiriri's deplorable behaviour.
Honestly I've half a mind not to bother doing it on my other characters now, since the event gear is nothing to write home about either. I said I wouldn't be caught dead in the Shisui set when I saw it during SB's launch, the same goes for this.
So... After the event, a friend mentioned the neck area seems a bit empty with the top on, which I replied to put on a necklace and what did I find? The top will hide your neck accessories despite no reason to do so (physically speaking). It's pretty weird...
You mean like here:

I don't think the islands where you do the quests at were there until today. I wonder if they will keep them around after the event?
Thats what happens when you get a direct copy-paste. The original piece couldn't have a necklace because it already had one. The new piece can't have one because it's still the same piece. Just with the necklace either deleted or made invisible.
