[Poll] Servers - international or regional?

Well just an other Poll to vote on

Yoshida stated in his Live Letter that he is taking into account to open regional (language) server besides the global, international servers . Like Japanese only, german, french server etc.

whats your opinion to this? i'll personally stick to the global servers, because i think its typical for FF Online. also i think international servers have the advantage that there are plenty players around the clock no matter what time it is.

so you can more easily team up with other people although its lately in the evening.
Also i think that regional servers "die" much faster than global servers ever will. International server are having a longer live i would say.
i think it wont be an idea that good, it could mean that some of the old international server playerbase will leave to new regional servers which will cause a reduction of players on every server type. i mean is Final Fantasy XIV having so much players for opening new servers, even in 2.0.? i dont think so.
would that mean they need to make cluster very early?

So i am personally pro "international". +

(like this if you are "PRO" International servers)

Problem here (for me) is that my answer is dependent on the situation.
I like playing with non English speaking players as well, BUT I would gladly through away this for more responsive servers.
Hated never being able to land stun in FFXI.
I literally casted it BEFORE the readies WS text appears, just to prove how impossible it was for me.
I cast Stun, Enemy readies WS, it says enemy is stunned, and the enemies WS goes off.
OR, I see the text, hit the button (w/o delay, as I showed my friends in a video how quick I was.) see the spell either tie with the enemies WS going off, or going off after their WS.
Eventually I gave up and just spammed Head Butt as BLU on most fights (w/o built resistance.)

EVEN if they manage to lower the lag, the fact is, if its even 0.2 of a second different from JP players, they will base content, such as stuns or w/e, around the JP players times. Otherwise the JP players would have less of a challenge.

So if it would fix server lag, I'm willing to go to an all English speaking server.

This is how I feel, to an extent. Unfortunately, this is not the case. SE has already said that they have no plans for regional servers in the sense that the servers are actually in their region. All servers will remain in Japan. So this is basically just segregation of players, and does not affect response times in any way.

I say F that. I have a number of JP friends that I enjoy playing with, as I did in XI. For me, it's part of the game and it just wouldn't feel the same without them. And even if these regional servers did affect latency, I would probably still choose a global server.

for the "latency fact" Yoshida said, that they want to overwork the whole server structure like the game client as well.
maybe it will lead into a better responding with less lag.
