Let's talk about Hunts - a detailed rundown of their assumed mechanics

Can anyone confirm or give information if:

multiple hunts (any rank) can be on 1 spawn point at the same time?

and

if a hunt on a spawn point prevents another hunt from spawning on that same spawn (the current hunt on the spawn needs to be defeated before any other hunt will spawn there)?

I've never seen 2 hunts on the same spawn point at one time before.

150 Yumemi for Okina I think.

Instance1→pop after about 95 Yumemi kill
Instance2→pop after 88 Yumemi kill
Instance3→pop after 78 Yumemi kill

I conducted this at about 144 hours after last kill.

Because Yumemi is a target for daily hunts and some others had been trying to pop Okina, I think other people have killed more than 50.

Never happened to me either. Can pretty much confirm the point is considered as "busy" if there's either a B or A rank already on it.

Agree with the above.

If spawn points are fairly close to each other though you may see multiple marks in one screen. However they are pretty much never spawned on the same spot.

Easy ones to figure out would be something like Dalvag's Final Flame and Minhocao in Northern Thanalan, or Nandi and Marberry in Upper La Noscea. Closest I've ever seen two marks to each other would probably be Nandi and Myradrosh - about 1.5x the max ranged auto attack range from each other, northwest of Camp Bronze Lake.

I think it only happened once, very early ARR in Behemoth's Dominion (I'm sure anyone playing for a while has seen that image with Safat, and Marraco up there) but haven't seen it ever again since then, so I'm thinking they probably changed it shortly after adding hunts to avoid people getting mauled by A and S while killing Bs.

There are 2 spots in Behemoths Domain so Marraco and Safat could pop right next to each other but it's really rare

This happened on Cerberus! -> Link <- This is a Legend hunters are telling to each other from time to time there. Or to new hunters/players. Oh, how I miss those times..

.. those two spots are still there, so it could happen again - yet the chance is really low

Hunts can spawn anywhere within about 15 yards of a designated spawn point, so some are close enough that they can potentially be standing on top of each other.

The first part is among common knowledge I think, and I'm more interested in the myth of "Killing B ranks to make way for S rank in the same spot" though.
