As a minority, is it out of the question to hope for representation?

Most people in this fantasy game are playing certain race/gender combinations. Marketing is smart and will put these in the promotional materials because those same people who made their characters a certain race/gender will look at the pictures and go "hey! there's me doing that thing!" or "Hey, I like the character on that poster!". as has been stated in this thread, again and again, a LOT of people play certain race/gender combos. Miqo'te/au'ra female. Marketing would be foolish to NOT have them prominently in promo material.
I have nothing against representing the other races and genders. Seriously. it would be great! But you aren't going to get it as long as the majority of the playerbase rolls certain characters.


I suppose I'll answer the op's question directly. NO its not out of the question, but you're unlikely to see it for reasons of pandering to the majority of the games subscribers.

I apologize I assumed. That is what I meant. the majority of the playerbase play those two race/gender combos. I don't know why I'd bother to mention majority if I was implying everyone. But that is why they get put in a lot of materials.. once again.. yes.. it'd be nice if everyone got equal media time, but it's very unlikely since pandering gets more views and interest.
