I wonder why pets dying is a thing.
I made sense when Titan could tank (I guess), but now that sustain is gone, why do the egis (and Lily, for the matter) even take damage?
It's as if a melee's weapon took damage (since the summons are effectively the summoner's aas).
I just don't understand what's to gain from that, after Sustain got removed (realistically you cannot manage it beyond having the chore of placing your clunky pet every now and then).

Considering what they said I think on 4.1 they might address devotion since they said that some fixes will require tech to be build, as such I believe 4.06 will probably be a numbers tweak

Summoner should just be renamed to Bahamut Follower seriously because that's what it is now. This job really needs to be rebuilt from the ground up into a proper pet job to have the issues fixed.

I'll be frank I think they'll rename dreadwyrm trance to summoner trance eventually and make you summon demi primals afterwards, It's probable that they are testing the water if the ech works
But then wouldn't we just be BRD? I would prefer to just back date to HW SMN instead of basically steal another classes systems. The only change I really want is Bahamut to be a one and done summon and not stick around. Summon him, have him do Ahk Mourn, and then vanish.

I didn't meant for it to sound like BRD, what I meant is that they'll probably ampliate the system to include other primals too
I'd just like to know how it is that we can summon Bahamut and literally see him appear, and still have our egi die and Bahamut die with him. It's like, I've summoned him. He's there up on the screen. How is it that my pet isn't invulnerable or something until it disappears? And I don't think it's too much to ask that we get the full value of our two trances.

What? I never seen any SMN players including myself even do that. I usually stay ifrit or garuda up depending on what the party setup is. More melee DPS=ifrit, more magic DPS=garuda.
