need something of the lieks of 160 hours play time
passing 50 MSQ into hevensward

having just one does not get rid of it, you can be 9001+ hours and still have it because you did not clear the MSQ, on the other end you can be in 260 gear or whatever and still have it from not meeting the 160 hours.

I've got 278 hours according to steam and through the ARR quests, I've still got this stupid leaf. I know people have suggested work arounds, but a temporary solution isn't a solution. What is the benchmark to get it to go away?

As of 4.0 launch, new adventurer status expires after accumulating 168 hours of /ptime and completion of the 3.56 story quest "The Far Edge of Fate".

The new adventurer status being greatly extended for players was done due to the Novice Network being added to the game - SE tied access to the NN specifically to new adventurer status, so thinking that players would like to make use of this service for as long as possible, the limits of eligibility to be classed as a 'new adventurer' were extended.

Also although you can turn 'off' the sprout icon, that is only temporary, as it resets it back when you log out of the game - it will only disappear for good once the requirements are met (formerly a certain amount of gametime logged/certain level reached, but now it's the completion of the entire ARR/HW storyline up to the final 3.57 story, no doubt due to the addition of the level/story skip items now adding the phenomenon of brand new players at the beginning of SB.).

If you absolutely just want it gone, just type in:

/nastatus off

(it will also remove you from the Novice Network if you're using that though!)

As noted a couple times in the thread, it is not temporary if you actually turn it off with the /nastatus off command.

I had mine go away after i finished the first SB quest.
or was it the 2nd? I remember I spazzed asking why it was still there, then a couple minutes later it went away and i had a system message in chat saying i had proven myself blah blah.

I had a lot of time logged also, way more than needed, I had let my account stay logged on while working on homework during my summer semester classes etc. but over 200 hours i heard is enough.

so the sprout goes away at SB now!

It would have gone away upon completion of the final Heavensward quest, The Far Edge of Fate.

It's 168 hours, or 7 days by the measurement of the in-game playtime counter.

EDIT: Obviously both are requirements and I didn't say otherwise, but apparently that wasn't obvious enough.

You're both right. It's completion of HW AND 168 hours of playtime. One alone isn't enough, both condition have to be met for it to turn off automatically.

I’ve been trying to get the stupid leaf to go away ever since I got past level 30 on my main class/job. Now Im level 50, finished ARR days ago and still couldnmt figure out how to turn it off! Thanks for posting suggestions on here and telling reasons why some still have it lol
