Thanks for the replies everyone.
My play experience with gladiator is very limited, as I only played it to level 15 to unlock WAR. Limited experience though it may be, I did not enjoy GLD at all. But I am not sure what the MP management of DRK has to do with GLD/PLD. From what I understand, they are completely different MP management systems... please do correct me if I am wrong.
I agree, the kit for the lv. 50 DRK honestly feels as if it was overlooked, and it is not very fun to play in my honest opinion. Post 50 things get progressively better, and I do find the class fun at 60. I just hate doing leveling roulettes and the such, and will switch to my WAR if friends want to do lower level content.
The idea of a DoT that siphons health to the user as a regen effect while simultaneously dealing damage to the enemy sounds very cool to me. I would be happy if such an ability was added.
I don't see how it's more active. There's only two oGCs now, so you just stare at the GCD waiting to do something. I'd take HW any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Well you still can't unlock Drk/Ast/Mch until after getting to HW, so there should be experience. And like mentioned, before lvl46 there is nothing to DRK's MP management, no different than Flash for PLD, except with an even bigger MP pool. And even that is nothing but more juice for SE, or if you feel inclined to blow your load on DADP. Its a little more interesting once you've got Abyssal Drain. But frankly MP management doesn't even happen until C&S, where you actually have to start paying attention to MP vs CD timing more than you would TP for WAR's Overpower, or TP/MP for PLD's Flash/TE.
