    4 Savage Exdeath dps.

    Hey,

So I've been doing some 4 savage last couple weeks but one thing that bothers me greatly is my dps as a tank for exfaust. Since tanks are always kiting around orbs it goes down the drain pretty fast.

I'm parsing around 2500 dps usually for exfaust, but looking at the rankings some tanks are managing around 3k here, how they are doing this is what i'm trying to figure out since it feels almost impossible when you always have to kite orbs around.

    Any ideas?

Use requiescat right before disengaging, pop sprint while kiting, you should be able to move > holy spirit > move > holy spirit, I usually manage 4 holy spirits while kiting, or maybe 3 if the black hole positioning is bad. I don't know if that's optimal or not (and probably the answer depends on how fast you're killing it), but that's how I got around 3k.

If you're getting bopped when you do that you can always toss shields. It's better than nothing and you're not going to run out of TP anyway. Also if you're getting a Refresh at the start of the fight you can do your Requiescat->FoF, and when FoF is over you'll have enough reserve MP for 3x Holy Spirit and enough gauge to block the tree knockback and the Flare. Those blocks should top you back up to full MP.

Yeah i'm already doing this, i have a full mp bar at the start of white hole cast usually. I'm normally sitting around 3500 dps at transition, going down a bit for flares ofcourse, but it really plummets at the black orbs.

I hope you're aware that the player at the very top are definitely using pots. That alone already boosts your damage significantly.

With that out of the way, you should probably factor in things such as Trick Attack and Balance.

Now maybe they don't do this for Exdeath, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some parties doing a run exclusively so they can give as many buffs to the tank so that they ultimately end up with an abnormally high DPS.

Alright! Now that we've got all of that covered, all that's left are actual rotations! To figure out what the best ones might be, you can use the replay feature in fflogs and it'll show you exactly what skills the players use during the fight, so you can check out and experiment with other people's openers and whatnot. But be warned - just because the highest ranking player is doing it, doesn't mean it'll always be the best. You have to take context into consideration, but this should still give you something to work with.

I'm obviously using pots, Infusion of Strength HQ. Good point about the replay feature I'll definitely check that out. Also I'm not really trying to top the very best players, just close the gap somewhat.
