Grand Company Seals

Something needs to be done with Grand Company seals soon. Right now they serve almost no direct purpose in anything crafted in Stormblood or gear relevant to Stormblood. I am getting so many seals from Stormblood dungeon provisional turn ins that I literally cannot spend them faster than I use them on retainer Ventures with eight retainers. I'm sitting on like 4000 Ventures now, and each day from roulettes alone it feels like you get enough seals to buy a week of Ventures doing them every waking hour of the day. Are there any other current uses for seals?

You can always pass on the gear in the dungeon you don't need for an alt class. I don't have nearly the same amount of Ventures, but I have around 2000. And not all my retainers go out on ventures either.

They actually need to revamp the Allied Seals in total. The way they are obtained currently, through hunts that die before many people are able to find them(even some who actively search for them), and the very few daily hunt bills. If GC seals could be used for that stuff instead(even if they need to increase the cost of the items), it would go fair distance in using up the GC seals that sit capped 99% of the time.

Moonstones can be bought for 4000 company seals, sold for 1200 gil, or traded in for Better Crowned Pie which can be sold on the marketboard. Or you can trade the seals in for things like Peacock Ore, Scheelite, etc, that can be sold on the market board for profit.

Well, passing on gear would be the most logical step.

Other than that, spend your seals on mats/ cordials/ crop seeds (to exchange for mats) and sell them. Easy pocket change.

Some of us are crafters and gatherers. I spend most of my seals on cordials and manuals. Can buy the gear for leveling other jobs. There are also crafting mats to buy. When squadrons become useful again they use up a lot of seals. Just because you don't use them doesn't mean they aren't useful.

But the devs could upgrade the GC shop. New gears that is not ilevel 70 or lower, new mats for crafters, new stuff for everyone.

I thought I was the only one sitting on ridiculous amounts of ventures despite having 8 retainers! Glad to know I'm not alone.

Yeah, it would be cool to have some more stuff to spend these things on.

Maybe improved versions on those manuals you can use for crafting/gathering? More GC themed furniture?... Movement speed boosters? :^) *fresh out of a sprint discussion thread*

I'd like to see Allied Seals retired and all hunts use Centurio seals.

As for GC Seals, I'd like there to be something worthwhile for a level 70 to buy with them. Not just some crafting mat or relic quest mat, but something I would continuously find worthwhile to spend my seals on. Even if it were an expensive token I could turn in for another currency. Like say 20,000 GC seals could buy a Cracked Crystal or Cluster s I could finally actually get a tier 6 crafting/gathering materia. A big GC sink like that would make them useful again.
