Nope, sends to everyone, the FC were I have my alt was set for demolition and every one of the (five) members got the e-mail, it led to a mini-freak out on instant messenger 'cause I was the only one with an active sub.It does bypass all the other members.
The game does not care about it being a FC or a personnal house, even if it's build under "FC use", it still considers it the property of the buyer, even if he's not GM.
Makes me think, I wonder what happens if the buyer leaves the FC, does it stay Fc house or does it become personal ?
SE does send out notices and give plenty of time. Some players just don't want to take responsibility and blame them. They send email's and all members, specially leaders should know how it works.
This is correct - both my GF and I got notices for our FC house demo timer for the 17 months we were on hiatus from the game.
Does anyone have any concrete knowledge of what happens if a Free Company master purchases the FC home and then later passes the master role onto another player in the FC, and then later still leaves the FC? Do they retain ownership of the plot/house?On the other hand if the house remained with the original purchaser even after they leave the FC; then they could potentially have relinquished the plot without the FC knowing. Because at that point they are simply a player relinquishing a plot they own, not part of the FC that occupies the house. In that case, the new FC master who did not in fact own the plot/house would get no notification at all that the plot was relinquished. It would be a huge surprise to the FC in that case. This is why FC masters should own the house, and should not leave their FC...
That said, I thought that the ownership would transfer with the Master role?
If they do retain the plot, can they relinquish it whether the FC master wants to or not?

For the first (second, really), no. That kind of power comes from the FC (and literally checking the placard of one of my neighbors, it lists the FC as the owner, not the FC master); technically speaking, any member with the permission to Construct/Remove the Hall, is capable of doing so (in fact, with the right to BUY the land, ANY member of the FC can buy the plot; my FC did that when the new wards came out: all the officers had the appropriate amount of gil and spread out amongst the new wards to try and get the plot we wanted).Does anyone have any concrete knowledge of what happens if a Free Company master purchases the FC home and then later passes the master role onto another player in the FC, and then later still leaves the FC? Do they retain ownership of the plot/house?

It goes down based on titles, and members that enter it. had a few contacts who became masters after main people didn't log back in. After a few months they came back demanding their housing back. Not likely to happen it's pretty much forfeiting ownership. It's up the current master to pass it or give ownership. You can but why would anyone do so?Does anyone have any concrete knowledge of what happens if a Free Company master purchases the FC home and then later passes the master role onto another player in the FC, and then later still leaves the FC? Thanks for reminding me to dust off my house interior! (´・_・`) I'd actually forgotten about it. Usually enter once a week at least, but...

My 2 houses on Famfrit were on demolition timer but my mogstation email address never got any emails about it. I only knew because a friend was logged in and said he got a notice that one of his estates was on the timer.
Looking here: http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...3e7ccabefa9954
It looks like it is counting for 5 days before they send an email about it. So that might be why I didn't get an email.
On a related note, an FC member on my main had their house demolished with no warning even after they had been in it the previous day. She contacted a GM about it and basically they said said it was weird and they couldn't do anything about it since someone already bought the plot. So who knows, maybe your cause is another error in the system. She ended up having to pay someone to relinquish her plot back to her with money we loaned her since housing market on excalibur is just complete garbage.

I am sure everyone here knows this but pointing it out just for good measure. FC houses belong to the FC itself and not the purchaser, Same as how a FC belongs to all its members and not just the person who started the FC. Of course if your the only member of the FC then everything is yours but being the only member is kind of pointless.![]()
