FC House Taken without any notices

If it was a FC house then yes every member including leader should have been e-mailed by SE's housing program to tell you that in 10 days the house is going to be demolished. The e-mail is sent 10 days before demolish to give you time to fix it.

Keep in mind though SE will use the e-mail you used to register for FFXIV so whatever e-mail they have on file for your account they will use and no others; so maybe you signed up using a different e-mail than your usual one.

Did anyone else have rights to relinquish land? Seems fishy if you didn't receive emails then maybe someone else sold it out from under you and just doesn't want to fess up to it.

I have used the same email address and now that I have what the email should look like, I tried again to search for it and no dice. It wasn't in my junk mail or my inbox.

So yea. Still not informed. xD

The sad part is I'm the GM. From what I've also been reading the rest of the FC members could have been told as well? But I've been informed by them also they never received anything either.

It depends if you bought the house as the GM or if it's someone else that did it. In that case, the house is the FC one but it "belongs" to the one who bought it, therefore, he is the one informed

I doubt it since I was the only one who had the rights to relinquish, decorate, and do everything else with the FC house. The members are only allowed to eat the food, feed chocobos, help with company crafts and play around with our inventory. Again its a small FC of friends, but I highly doubt they could just take it from me since I had all the rights.

Also on the FC "Latest Activity" it says that the company estate was deemed abandoned.

I've actually been told about this possibility too, but if that is the case than would the FC members still be informed about it since its an FC house? Whether or not someone else bought it? If so, than that's still kind of broken considering that it would bypass the entire FC (including leader) and only inform the person who bought it.

It does bypass all the other members.
The game does not care about it being a FC or a personnal house, even if it's build under "FC use", it still considers it the property of the buyer, even if he's not GM.
Makes me think, I wonder what happens if the buyer leaves the FC, does it stay Fc house or does it become personal ?

If that's the case the person who bought our FC left a long time ago and I was made the FC leader with all the rights to the house, etc. So if what you're saying is true, than it stays with him and not with us.

Which, again, still makes if incredibly broken on SE's part.

There isn't any way for SE to roll it back, yes. But SE can compensate their FC with 100% of the value. That is, if the scenario is/was that the FC member who originally purchased the house was not the FC Master and left the FC. If the housing system and FC system do not correctly transfer the ownership of the house to the new FC master, then that would appear to me to be a fairly big flaw in the system, and something that SE can correct.

That hinges on what happens to an FC house purchased and owned by a FC member who is no longer the FC master, and subsequently leaves the FC. If the house transfers to the new FC master when the Master is changed, then this should not have happened and it's just laziness of the players not using the house.

On the other hand if the house remained with the original purchaser even after they leave the FC; then they could potentially have relinquished the plot without the FC knowing. Because at that point they are simply a player relinquishing a plot they own, not part of the FC that occupies the house. In that case, the new FC master who did not in fact own the plot/house would get no notification at all that the plot was relinquished. It would be a huge surprise to the FC in that case. This is why FC masters should own the house, and should not leave their FC...

That said, I thought that the ownership would transfer with the Master role?
