What's up with healers not healing?

O1n-o4n: incoming tank buster, pop cd. Wait for heals, wait for heals, wait for any type of heal, boom die to auto attacks.

I just don't get it, I'm usually the only one taking damage at that time. Why you let me die? Q.Q

It happens at least 4 to 5 times a day. I know I'm a PLD, but I shouldn't be forced to use clemency as a cd every freaking tank buster.

like our friend xeno says, if you die to an auto attack, find new healers. Meaning, if you get no heals and the healers ain't busy, just give them something to heal, aka turn the boss with a cleave right on top of them, have adds run after them etc. moment they lose 5 hp they gonna heal like a well oiled machine. Or kick them out right at the start. Can always train healers or extreme bad players.

Might sound horrible, but the last days have shown me, that if you don't go that drastic route, you're forced to not enjoy the game anymore, while "bads" that don't deserve it have a blast.

Healers still used to old times where healing was a joke and still using dps with no care at all about other's hp bar.

I'm still convinced 90% of healers are just dps rolling an healer for shorter df queues but their mindset won't change.

Some healers forgot what their main role is. Their excuses?
'It can be solo healed'. No, if we wiped then obviously can't, at least not in this party.
'Not my fault if party dps is low'. Dude, it's Alexander story mode in Mentor roulette, no need to wipe us twice because you dps 100% uptime.
'Tank should use more cooldowns'. That's right, but there's no excuse he gets only Regen to mitigate tankbuster.

And the killer excuse?

'DPS ques are so long so I DPS on a healer for instant pops.'

You know, I was kinda thinking the same thing. It's sad really. I was never really an advocate for healer dps, but to ignore the basic function of the roll is just disheartening.

The real killer is, if they let me die, it only frustrates me, and maybe the OT. If I cleave the group because I'm angry with the healers, I'll frustrate 6 others. Please don't male me resort to that.

As a healer, I rarely DPS outside of a rotation here or there specifically for this reason. The problem lies in that others expect healers to DPS - a lot - and this means that healers that aren't thick-skinned tend to DPS more than they should to appease these people.

I half expected a reply like this. And yes the minority of the populous was pushing for more healer dps, but not at the expense of MY in game life!!! Just kidding :P

But seriously, a cure 2 is more mp efficient than a raise, and if you lose mp to a raise, that's less mp for your dps...........
