    It really does not make sense to me how people are ok with this gating and complained when they did the same thing to exp gains for the same reason as "SE gates us so that the people who do nothing but play this game don't race ahead and skew things for people with less time on their hands."

    If it is simply solved by the 320 gear, then how can you ague there is something to do? How does gating magically make it so there is something to do vs not? FFXI did not gate like this, well they had gating but it was done much differently. It lead you to do different things each day but nothing really stopped you from gearing different jobs like here. With the strict gating you are limited to 1 role and why is there 3 melee classes share same gear while a melee has its own set and another melee shares its right with range attackers? With the gating in place, these concepts make no sense.

    It is one thing to do it as an experiment, have that excuse a few patch cycles, but do it repeatedly each expansion? FFXI did not keep recycle like this so why is it done here? This game is pretty much no different then it was then 2.0 or HW, same thing, just reskinned.
