Really great jobThanks everyone!
I updated the front page with the actually minimum requirements for Craftsmanship (I downgraded myself and tested for the edge) Apparently you only need Character stats 1288 Craftsman (for the top macro), 467 CP, and NQ Tempura Platter. This means you could meld a very light set. Likewise with HQ Tempura you could even meld lighter as it would only require character stats 1277 Craftsman (for the top macro), 456 CP, and HQ Tempura Platter. I'll make a melding recommendation to go with this macro for people who want some cheep melds.![]()
Just a question of confusion regarding the use of Patient Touch? Why did you use it instead of Hasty Touch?
They both have a 50% success rate and increase Inner Quiet by 1.
Did you have a limitation of cross-class skills? Hasty seems like the better choice, at 0 CP.
Is there something else about Patient Touch that I am not realizing?
You're not the first person to ask this question.. Patient touch actually increases Inner quiet by 2 stacks when used (once innately from the skill and once because inner quiet gets one stack from any quality boost). Statically its better to use two Patient touches at the start of any hasty or partially rng based rotation. I use that rotation to essentially make all of my one star and lower food (which is great since I don't require a food buff myself at max CP). I've only made 3 NQ food out my third macro out of something like 1000 raid foods I've made this week.Just a question of confusion regarding the use of Patient Touch? Essentially the quality gain from a single Patient touch is two stacks (very efficient) and hitting one of the two is enough to hit around 14000 quality with the rotation which will result in a HQ 1* item (with no starting quality). There is only a 4% chance of failing both... which in my case still results in around 10-11k quality Which hits around 60-80% HQ chance... so I still have to fail that to get a NQ. So overall it has around a 1% NQ rate with zero starting quality.

this how i'm crafting the 2 stars
thats with HQ tempura platter. use cunning tea if non-spec. needs around 20 crafts points beyond required minimum ( before food ) to complete the synth.

Katlyna,
I am trying to HQ the Dark Chestnut Rod and am not succeeding. Can you recommend a rotation based on my current stats or am I just to low level somewhere. Thanks much!
I couldn't look you up on the lodestone but I'm guessing you are still leveling your crafter. Take a look at this guide here:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...xlFmmL8sE/edit
Those are good reference for rotations for lower stats for the lower items.

Frankie, this thread is about 1* and 2* Stormblood (Level 70) macros, if you are leveling up please make a new thread and ask there.
That said: https://goo.gl/uDCzzC Has a link to a 1-60 leveling guide. I don't think it warrants commenting further because it's not on topic, but will be happy to help if you do proceed in making a new thread.
