    What i'd like to see for Shake it off

    I used to play WoW(don't quit the thread just yet)in the MoP expansion, thats when they added the monk class to the game they introduced a mechanic for its tank spec called Stagger, what it does is basicly makes the damage split into 2 parts you get 60% of the damage upfront the rest as a DoT over 10 seconds. I'd really love to see this in the game, when i used to play WoW i had a lot of fun tanking with this spec and both healing it. From the skill name it would pretty much be a perfect fit you Shake the damage Off over a duration.It would fit the class lore too, you are too blinded by rage to feel any damage. I know WAR already has way too much defensive cooldowns but i'd really like to see this skill in FFXIV in some form. Please only give actual thoughts and no things like "i dont want it to be wow get out" and such.

    I love the idea but then WAR gets yet another defensive CD when the job is already overflowing with personal mitigation. I feel like this is a great idea for one of the other tanks though.

    I'd honestly rather see Shake It Off completely replaced by something totally different, maybe some utility. I know its weird, but I kinda miss Mantra on WAR. Didn't use it much in HW cause Awareness was much more necessary due to RI synergy, but it was nice to have access to cross-class something like that on a tank. But in ARR I used to do voke/conva/internal/second wind/mantra all the time when groups didn't have a MNK, and then I'd do Path into Mantra for big raidbusters.

    Been actually looking at a couple forum for what this ability should be changed into and I really like the OP idea. I came up with something a bit different that had a similar design to equilibrium. First thing they would have to change is actually make it remove a lot more detrimental debuffs like it says it does except for maybe debuffs intended for tank swaps.

    Shake It Off

    Removes most all detrimental effects. (and actually make it usable on more types of debuffs) Can be executed while under the effects of action-inhibiting statuses

    If an effect is removed gain 10% damage reduction while in defiance (duration 10 - 15 secs)

    If an effect is removed gain 5% - 10% increased damage while in deliverance (duration 10 - 15 secs)


    This way the ability can be used as an defensive and offensive CD on some fights. You can even save it for the 6 fell cleave window to do a bit more damage if the debuff you wish to remove last long enough. Again this ability would be super situational but just an idea.

    Need to be a utility skill, WAR has none for now, something that can compare to TBN or Intervention.

    No status ailment for 10sec, AoE, could be ok, as long as they don't make it useless in raids (let it work on non-mechanic related status ailments).

    They won't give us anything fancy anyway ...

    I'd like for SiO to reverse detrimental debuffs; vuln up to vuln down, damage down to damage up, damage over time to heal over time, silence to haste, and so forth. Another idea is for SiO to siphon one debuff from a party member, up to 5 players, and draw it into the warrior. Pressing the skill button again, the warrior would, then, spend 10 beast gauge, per debuff, to immediately reverse it to a beneficial buff. Recast would be 90s, maybe.

    I'd like to see it become a kind of group wide Thrill of Battle, something like bumping HP of grp members based on HP from the WAR (but won't bump the war HP him/herself).

    Anything that gives some utility to the raid group would be welcome.

    As much as I like this idea, this would be a form of mitigation. It would be unfair to the other tanks if Warriors had yet another form of mitigation. They already have Inner Beast, which is perhaps one of the best tank skills in the entire game.

    This is something I had in mind as well. But I'd prefer if it was something that interacted with the beast gauge. Like, something that halved the beast gauge and gave an effect based on how many beast gauge points you used.
