I don't know about that, the enemies are so clustered in this game that unless you constantly trying to go around them they will cast heavy on you which I think is punishing enough. If it comes back to that point, might as well add sneak/invisible oils and spells again like XI had. And even if you did that harsh punishment, it only inconveniences you, the enemies stop following you after 10 yards, so it won't add danger or death scenarios.

There is already mechanisms with sneak invisible in dol and ninja. So that wouldn't be a bad thing in my opinion. More money for alchemist, and mages get to be heroes casting them on other players to bypass dangerous sections.

I see your point, especially if the SE still wants most enemies to be hostile past ARR.

I just want the CD for sprint like it was in 2.0 and 3.0, Sprint as it was before 4.0 and only while out of combat! And 4.0 sprint while in combat or while in PvP it wouldn't change in PVP, I can't even do 1 of the ARR Sightseeing Log #9 cause of this can't sprint that often to keep practicing, or maybe there really is just a bug or something caused by this sprint change in 4.0.

I don't know and wouldn't know cause not many videos show their attempts or don't even show any attempts for this jump before 4.0 just the one jump where they made it. And I'm sure I'm not doing anything all that different from the ones in videos! But they were able to attempt the jump more often before now but I can't do that now either.

And if any other changes were to happen they could even miss up more of these logs that have stupid jumping puzzles!

I think there are things in this game that warrants the devs focus a bit more than this. Besides if sprint was unlimited, why just not make it a passive? We could all look like we're on speed all the time! It would look silly and stressful. It's fine the way it is. Needing to run from here to there is just part of the mmo experience.

Be careful what you wish for though. The wow community had the same complaints which led to the devs bunching all relevant npcs and gathering nodes in to a single hub area, and it turned out to be the worst experience ever.

What you're advocating is essentially the same thing. Because when you think about it, running super fast between all your nodes and npc is just a regular selection menu with an elaborate overlay.

Mobile gaming comes to mind. Imo.

Sure why not just make it passive? Why make us select our weaponskills, just make them and spells passive too. Needing to get from here to there is part of the mmo experience, but we don't just run, we hop on mounts, teleport, ride airships, etc.

The devs here already did what WoW did in the SB areas for the most part. Did you not notice how close relevant npcs are to each other? Even so, there are some npcs far apart. If there was mounts or sprint didn't exist at all in those areas, we would have a 200 page rant here about that.

If unlimited sprint is anything like a menu, we could basically call a whole game, a menu with sub choices. But it's not, menus don't typically make me feel stuff, or cry.. Well maybe a menu with Texas BBQ on it does, but anyways.

If we use the analogies, traversing is more like a PC mouse and teleports are like hotkeys. On mounts with speed upgrades, navigating the menu is a joy. But the current sprinting or walking feels like a mouse with severe latency or lack of quick responsiveness, it takes a significant amount of time to go from one end of screen to the other.

They will literally kill you on sight.

As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

i dont see why they should do it , since players want always more and more and faster and faster , to the point wher it becomes useless , and one will just get bored ^^

I think the sprint change was for the best. It really only affects how you get around in cities which isn't that big of a deal for me at least and maybe PotD which is boring anyway so. Being able to use it in combat is the only thing I am concerned about honestly.

You have unlimited sprint outside of combat. They're called mounts.

Get you a fc with a house near a market board and crafting stations.

I think unlimited sprint is a terrible idea. Although I do see the appeal.

Once you get it, it won't be enough. You're gonna want even faster mounts, then flying unlocked by default. After that, swimming is too slow so it needs to be sped up too.
At this point, the devs are just gonna make it so that the retainers do all the gathering/crafting for you. When this happens, the timers on the retainers are too long.

What about ex trials then? They take so long to complete.

Now after all this, we've had unlimited sprint for over a year.. It's time to make sprint unbreakable by annoying aggro mobs and unlock it during dungeons. Running from the start to the end is a huge waste of time and an unfun mechanic.
