Please, I just want to remind everyone that this thread isn't for discussion. I know it's harder to resist now that the mods have locked the other thread that was made to discuss what happened. I know it's very long, but that's because just about every possible argument for or against the change has already been brought up in it. If you have any questions, they are probably already answered there and if you have any point you want to make, it was also probably already made there.

As it pertains to your post however, we simply don't know if your friend's speculation (and that's all it can be at this point) about the price change being made to combat the people abusing the regional pricing to make a profit is true or not because SE is still ignoring us. We don't know for sure what their reasoning behind it is because the only official statement they have made on the matter is to tell us that it was intentional, absolutely nothing else. And even if it was, then it was a really poor attempt on SE's part as the regional pricing is still in place for UK (they currently pay only slightly more than BR's old regional price) and the same people who were abusing the regional price for BR and RU will now just move to exploiting the UK prices.

Again, all of this was already said, over and over, in the other thread. Please attempt to read through it if you have something you want to ask/say.
