Dumb Server transfer rules

I joined this game and paid money to boost myself up so i could play with friends.

Now i find out i have to wait an entire 90 days cuz the game auto put me in a new world.
So now i'd have to start a new character someplace else.. pay money all over again, just to wait 3 days to move and re-level all over again.

Why are there stupid rules like this, this is a social online game yet i am not allowed to play with friends with all these restrictions put in place. in 90 days they all will be in destiny 2 so i have essentially paid over 90 dollars for solo playing.

They need to have more alerting popups if your on a new world stating that your locked into that world for 3 months during character creation, how was i to know i had to do research on this level, they all told me its just a 3 day limit to transfer no one even knew about this 90 day bull crap.

I just need to vent cuz this is frustrating as hell and i am likely to just quit the game now.

Are you even sure that you can transfer to your friend's server?

Don't quit the game. Are your friends on the same datacentre as you? If so, use the cross-party PF. Sure, open world content you're snookered, but a lot of the game is instanced duty, so this will help with that. Then, after the 90 days are up, you can transfer on over to their world, assuming it isn't congested.

I agree the warnings could be more prominent, but please don't feel like you have to quit over that. There are interim solutions available, and cross-world linkshells I believe are in the works, so that'll give you another avenue to communicate with them.

They are on Cactuar and it says i am allowed to transfer there but i have to wait the 90 days for having the misfortune of being auto placed in Midgardsormr.

They wanted to have a full group for Palace of the dead, which we cant do cross realm.
I have been able to get help from them for a few duty's but its not quite teh same as being able to freely hang out and help do hunts.

If Squenix didn't magically unbind my old account from the vanilla days i'd transfer that but apparently all my account info and receipt of purchase was " not enough evidence of ownership".

At this point to me it really feels like they do not care about the players, took me 4 hours just to make a new account.

You can. I had a try myself of POTD cross-realm since my friends were on Odin and me Louisoix. We were able to create and queue as a fixed group no problem. So don't worry about that. Yeah, I agree it sucks you can't hang out freely and help do hunts etc (felt it myself when I moved to Louisoix getting the same 90 day thing), but instanced content isn't an issue. And yeah, I don't see them lifting the restriction from your account, but, it's only 90 days, and I haven't seen any new congested worlds added (only 2 removed from congested, Cerberus and Odin), so I'm sure you'll be able to transfer there after the 90 days.

I think she means when she went to realm select, it said to her "Here's your realm". There's an option to change realm, but it can be missed. The way it is phrased can make it look like "you've been issued this realm, deal with it", if you aren't fully aware.

Have you tried doing an online chat with a customer service representative. I had an issue once where I registered my window account incorrectly and they fixed it for me. I don't know if they'd do this for you or not but your request seems more than reasonable to me and you're not asking to be moved to a closed server.

I've created new characters to test before using Fantasia potions and while it does auto choose a server, you have the option to change that before you actually begin.

They told me you couldn't cross realm it but i'll have to try and talk to them about it after i get home.

I do appreciate the help. Sorry i started this off rather frustrated but my experience with the company in the last 3 days has been less then stellar.

And i am glad to see the community is still very friendly and helpful as it was 3-4 years ago when i last played.

Mine didn't, i logged in and it tossed me straight into character creation after i selected a data center it didn't give me an option to pick a server.
But at the time i didn't mind where i went since i knew you couldn't create on congested but could transfer to it. at least i thought til i seen mogstation give me that giant 90 day message.

It is easily missed. When I first started it auto-selected Adamantoise for me, while all my friends were on Cactuar. And this was before the cross-world stuff, and jump potions, so it wasn't as bad(except for having to stay up until almost 2am to create a character on Cactuar) as what the OP is experiencing.
